You think that's cool?

Try this

1.2m long super star destroyer.

Or you could get the larger Death Star.

Well. My rest days are Tues/Thurs/Sat. Tuesdays I go watch a movie if one I want to see came out the prior weekend because its like 60% off at a theater nearby on Tuesdays.

Thursdays I usually get home and after sitting around for a while will sit down and try and study for some certifications I want to get for work. Then play guitar/video games for a while.

Saturday I hang out with friends and play video games or other random stuff.

I bought this Lego Death Star a few years ago and spent about 6 months worth of Saturdays for a few hours each Saturday putting it together. It was a blast.

Often I have family stuff to deal with which takes up much of my time, or I should be spending time studying instead of likely sitting around on Reddit or some other stupid crap.

TL;DR - find some hobbies you enjoy that are not the gym.

Edit* - I found some old photos of me working on it. None of it actually finished though. building the exterior and probably looking for a grey piece.

That's the first death star. It's not all that expensive, nor big. But the second death star set is very expensive (mostly because it's limited) and very big.

YES. They should have done a collision contest between THESE TWO MUTHERFUCKERS.

Then again I understand why they didn't.

There was two versions of the death star. You may be interested in building the Death Star 2 Death Star 2 from amazon

The fucking dollhouse? No.

He was working on this one which was discontinued in 2007, but can still be had here for a small fortune

It took me 14 hours, I can't imagine it'd taken Sheldon an insanely long amount of time

This Though I am pretty sure it is discontinued.

This might get buried in the comments, But I would just like to point out that there are two versions of each model; a more realistic expensive one, and a more play-set like one that includes mini-figures.

  • The realistic Star Destroyer (the one shown in the video) is actually close to $2000.

  • The Death Star, however is the play set one with the mini figures so it's only $400.

  • There is also a play version of the Star Destroyer for $400

  • And a model version of the Death Star for $1200.

Edit: LEGO is expensive, I've been playing with LEGO play sets since I was about 4. There is a lot of work that goes into these toys and it's kind of sad that they seem to be dying compared to the video game generation (not that I'm against video games, I love video games, I just also like LEGO a whole lot.)

Edit 2: My mistake, this is the one in the video which is $400.

    fuck.

Not quite true.

The large lego set ever was the Death Star II. This replaced the former largest lego set ever, the Imperial Star Destroyer. Both were part of the Ultimate Collectors series, which unfortunately is no longer available.

I know this because I have built, the Star Destroyer. I also have a fully assembled Blockade Runner as well as the Millennium Falcon.

I like to thing this makes me cool.

I want to see their ridiculous pro sets.

So a $1,200 3000+ piece depiction of minas tirith, or helms deep or Sauron's phallic eye tower.

Maybe this one is more to your liking.

Oh look. I've got another star wars boner.

This one?

Dayum...

u/Matronix · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Oh trust me, I know my expensive LEGO ... They are the bane of my existence. Haha.

Here is the other Death Star and the one you linked is the big one with compartments.

And that large Falcon... I so want to build one.

I vote for this one

u/burstonyamom · 1 pointr/lego

I don't think it comes with one because it is more directed toward kids. if you want one to display like the actual death star you can get the collectors edition

u/elapid · 1 pointr/AskReddit

In the last episode Sheldon was building this lego deathstar. It's nearly $900. If he didn't have a large disposable income he wouldn't be able to buy stuff like that.

u/EpikYummeh · 1 pointr/lego

Get the Death Star II! Pretty pricey nowadays, though.
