Hey! I have a Lenovo yoga 3 pro with a brand new battery I could part with. Spec wise it would be pretty sweet for the price. The one I have is the same specs as the one listed here on amazon https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Yoga-Pro-Convertible-Ultrabook/dp/B00OVFGU36. Only difference is mine has the m3 cpu vs the m5 of the same generation. Has been upgraded to windows 10 of course as well.

Ah you're right. Well the Yoga 3 Pro is still great for normal use, nonetheless.

I'd find more if it weren't late, but 1080p is the modern standard for anything that isn't low-end or a particularly large laptop screen. For monitors especially it's impossible to find a 720p one that isn't second-hand or refurbished.

okay, didn't realise you had universities over there at all, my bad. Something like this, this, this, this or this would be best, depending on just how much you game, whether you need touch-screen/all-in-one capabilities, thinness etc

Maximum budget is 900USD, and there will be limited gaming, but it wouldnt hurt if it could run games at basic settings.
