It's actually kind of crazy to find somebody so similar to me. I thought intrusive thoughts were something everybody got all the time, but I guess not. (I think Reddit made me think this, lol)

I had always have intrusive thoughts like "I could easily push that guy in front of the train, he'd have no chance" or "those parents aren't paying attention, I could grab that toddler and be gone before they had any idea". Of course I would NEVER act on these, and I think that's the difference between "normal" intrusive thoughts, and a crazy person. At least I hope it is, haha.

And yah, with my mom. Man, every picture I take I think it might be last. Every time I say goodbye.. Last night on the way home from her house I literally started crying because I thought "what if I never see her again?".

Again, I tend to think these sorts of thought are normal, especially after having my first baby. I'm hyper aware of how much I need her help, and how much I want her to know my future babies. Also, her mom, my grandma, died at age 69, and my mom had an "episode" a few years ago akin to a stroke. She's on meds now but if ever she doesn't answer her phone I panicked and call her husband, check her Facebook. It's so dumb.

I think with the new baby, it's just that I have never loved anything so much, so I'm so paranoid. It's interesting to know Post Partum OCD is a thing though. I intend to read more about mitigating that over the weekend. Meanwhile, I would totally recommend the Levana/Snuza baby monitor or something similar. It beeps with every movement (i.e. Breath, when they're sleeping). I got so much more sleep after I got this. Best money I ever spent. It says not to use it in the car, but I did anyway, just knowing there might be extra beeps from the movement of the car. That way I was able to stop pulling over to check breathing.

If you ever just want to talk, let me know!

Even if you aren't coherent right now when you first wake up, having a baby really does change things for most people. I used to flail around and throw covers all over the place, but now I sleep nearly motionless and the covers are always untouched when my son is laying in the bed next to me. If you or your husband are paranoid, get something like this. I have one and it definitely provides peace of mind.

Maybe you should get a breathing monitor to ease your worry? I have this one that clips to the diaper http://www.amazon.com/Levana-Clip-On-Portable-Movement-Monitor/dp/B00E8NGRUW/ref=pd_cp_ba_1

I havent properly used it since baby isnt born :) but i tested it and it is loud and beeps if there is no movement (breathing) for 20 seconds. I also took a cpr class to make myself feel more prepared for a possible worst case scenario.

Also, she is so cute. I just want to snuggle her!

It's a motion detector you attach to the baby. We loved ours http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00E8NGRUW/ref=redir_mdp_mobile/183-2028582-0592127

You can get an alarm that you clip to their diaper instead. If it detects no movement, it tries to wake them with vibrations before it signals an alarm.

Ugh unexpected car expenses are the wooooorst. I'm so sorry :-( There are 2 other versions of the Snuza that are cheaper. Instead of vibrating after 15 seconds and beeping after 20, there's an $80 version where you can set it to beep after 15, 18, or 20 seconds; and a $67 version that beeps after 15 seconds.

I know it's expensive but the peace of mind it gives is so worth it!
