Please excuse the stupid question. Do I just add them to the wishlist and just keep checking? I see a lot of versions. Like the black one and the white one. There is this one, the international version at 250 right now. But that's something else right?

The MEID was put in, it does not pass the check. I have an international 791, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0188MG0SM/ref=twister_B01D1D4WEM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

It says right under sprint, no service. Is this phone still capable then? When I attempt to swap devices I get an error. Ringplus support ticket has been unanswered for days.

Yeah, I get it. You're coming to a foreign country where you (presumably) don't know anyone and you've never been before.

Wifi is everywhere, yeah. Coffee shops, restaurants, city streets... it's very easy to use those if you need to.

If you've checked your specific model number and it's not covered, then there is no point in bringing it, totally right.

One thing you COULD do... buy a new phone now. Get a Nexus 5x off of Amazon for 240USD and bring that with you. When you get your bank account and ARC card, just go to SK/KT/LG and get a plan without buying a phone from them. It'd be cheaper and you don't have to deal with the bloatware that comes on all Korean phones.

Anyway, if you're feeling anxious and just want to talk/ask questions/etc, just send me a PM. I came to Korea a few months after graduating. I had never left the US and I knew 2 people in Korea before I came here. It can seem intimidating, but just take everything a day at a time and it's a piece of cake.
