Buy a portable a/c unit, for that size room 8k - 10k btu a/c should be fine. I have a 14k btu portable in my 1 car garage and works well enough in the summer. I put it on a timer to run during the day and turn off at night.

You can get them used for much cheaper, and they can be used anywhere you have a window. They have a tube for air exchange that you hang out your window, so it works with super small windows.
Why not purchase one of the small portable ac units? You could use flexible duct to exhaust, and they aren't incredibly heavy to carry around. (Is 50lb too much?)

If you cant use a window a/c unit can you use a portable a/c unit? It's really no different then a dehumidifier in size and the connection doesn't protrude from the window and is much much smaller.

You should buy a few box fans. They are relatively cheap and move quite a bit of air. Though the only trade off is that they are super loud when the speed is at max. Also you should invest in a portable air conditioner.
