Sorry for the delay on the post... A few failed gluten free recipes have put me behind... Finally got there in the end though!

These were delicious, but admittedly the one pictured was the prettiest. The recipe came from one of my many cookbooks, Sweet Tooth:

I'm still very much on the amateur side of things, but if you want more information into the theory behind baking alongside recipes, you might like Lily Vanilli's new book. I have it, and it's really interesting reading. She has a stall in a London market, a new shop, and seems to be working on a project in the Emirates from what I can tell from her Facebook.

For cakes and baking, Mary Berry and Delia Smith are held in higher regard in the UK than Gordon Ramsay or Jamie Oliver, who specialise more in savoury food. I grew up making Delia's cakes, so I can vouch for her recipes. She's had several TV series on 'how to cook' which I'm sure you can find online if you look hard enough.
