I'm fairly certain it's the Logitech G102/203, in white of course.

IMO it's one of the best mice within that price point.

Corsair. Turn off the LEDs. Minimal enough.

This will feel like heaven on your hand. Logitech ergonomics are amazing.

Simpler option from Logitech.

Same as above but wired so cheaper.

Remember that white will discolor slightly over time from the oils in your skin and friction. This is less visible on darker black/gray mice, obviously - hence their popularity. Not many periperhals get as much hand time as mice.

Fry's had these for $15 ($20 now), bought a few spares. $20 on Amazon right now as well, black sold out.

Good mouse, It's a G Pro with Logitech's Mercury sensor instead of a 3366 and smooth cable instead of braided. Only downside AFAIK is you can't modify liftoff distance in drivers, and it annoys me that even with RGB disabled it turns on during boot up.

The white version of the G203 is normally this price on amazon. The G102 and G203 are the same mice, but available in different regions.

I actually upgraded the same mouse to a Logitech G203 Prodigy, it's around $27 here and has a very good sensor. https://www.amazon.com/G203-Prodigy-Wired-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B06XNKPZLN/

>is it really true that dpi is just a marketing ploy?

Pretty much.
Here is a slightly outdated but still relevant spreadsheet of CSGO pro player setups.

I'd recommend the logitech g203 prodigy, which you can snag for like 30 bucks.
Nearly identical to the g-pro, but without the 50 dollar pricetag, and with a slightly less over the top sensor which has effectively no impact on how well it performs.
2 side buttons + an extra center button; more than enough for FPS games or anything that doesn't require a dozen side button binds.

If you don't already have one, you'll also want a good quality decently sized mousepad with plenty of extra room to use a moderate/lower sensitivity if that's something you'll find helpful.
Standard office sized mousepads leave you cramped for movement room and a lot of people using them end up using sensitivity way too high to compensate.
You can find good pads for around and under $10.

Does the corsair m65 have the PMW 3310-89 sensor? Apparently Yes, its typcially 50 dollars with refurb ones on corsair site occasionally 35. So imo this holds up for price, although the corsair has a awesome design but prob not worth 25 - 30 bucks. If the software holds up.
The Logitech

for 26.95 is a really good deal vs the corsair m65 for 45-50$

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XNKPZLN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ibYFzbVE6XM4A it's a logitech g pro but with a better (non-braided) cable and a logitech sensor

I've bought that mouse before. It had tracking issues, some kind of interpolation and not 1:1 pixel jump.

If you must go cheap, this one (or another E-3lue mouse) isn't bad but cheapest I'd really recommend is an entry level Logitech like the 302 or the G203.

Inb4 mods delete the thread and tell you to go to /r/buildapc (dumb rule is dumb). To be fair, they usually leave the threads up long enough to get an answer though which is nice.
