A peripheral shouldn't be an additional tool, but something that slips into your current workflow. Switching your hand between devices takes up time in the long run.

What I've found to be the best is the Logitech G15 keyboard, and the Logitech G600 mouse. I didn't find it out on purpose, it actually was by accident. I'm a huge gamer and I already owned these devices, but then when I was editing at home I realised I had so many extra buttons I could be taking advantage of.

But the big question is why do they work better than other peripherals? Because they're still a(n augmented) keyboard and mouse.

  • G15 keyboard has 6 extra programmable buttons on the side, with a switcher at the top so you can have 3 sets of 6

  • G600 mouse has 12 buttons on the side, basically like having the numpad of your keyboard on the mouse. Once you've set things up, you can have all your "go to" hotkeys all on your right hand's thumb.

My boss has something similar to the peripheral you linked (his one is the Shuttle Pro) and I can run circles around him and his shuttle, but then again it's old world vs new world with me and him.

The mouse at first is a bit hard to get used to, but after a few days of using it, it'll be second nature.

On the mouse I've set up the things I use over and over, like ripple trims in/out , cuts, markers, etc . On the keyboard I've set it up to be the things I don't have to press as often, such as Effects window / Audio windows, media browser. My left hand sits on the left side of the keyboard , right hand on the mouse, I rarely have to move off this setup.

You can record macros for frequently used keystrokes, and even record delays if you need them too, and obviously you can save all your settings, upload the file to your email and it becomes portable if you ever need to work remotely.

Babbled on a lot, but tl;dr - Use peripherals that build on what you're already using rather than trying to use something unfamiliar.

This is my mouse! It feels soooo good in my hands, I have it so the colors are always changing on the side, and I have really liked using it so far!

Can't provide much in the way of mesmer tips, but I can definitely sympathize with your wrist problems interfering with keyboard operation. I had surgery on my wrist a couple years ago, and my left hand was nearly useless. I got one of these as a gift and it was a godsend playing WoW. I still use it in GW2, and use it for everything. I've got everything but WASD programmed to the side buttons and scroll wheel, so literally all I do with my left hand is move forward, backwards, and strafe.

Razer Taipan, no RGB, but still looks good https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Taipan-Ambidextrous-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00K8WA61I?th=1

Logitech G600, RGB but big since it's a MMO oriented mouse https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0086UK7I6/ref=twister_B0091I20E6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Edit 1 : Corsair has the M65 Pro RGB but this one is not completely white.

Edit 2 : You also have a lot of cheap Chinese knock-off over Amazon, but I wouldn't trust them to be sturdy enough. Even though for the price of some of them, it could be worth the try. Personally, I don't really like those Chinese mouse, I think their style is tacky as hell.

Interact with my first side mouse button, knife by pushing my mouse wheel to the left, and reload by pushing to the right.... And pretty much anything else on my massive amount of side buttons. XD

Logitech g600

u/Schadenfreude11 · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

Ah. Well, I can't seem to find any white gaming mice made by Logitech except for a white variant of the G600, which is probably pretty far off the mark.

A search for "white and blue gaming mouse" returns mostly off-brand stuff that isn't shaped much like the G400 either.

u/Autonomoose · 2 pointsr/needadvice

I suppose the lighting on the back looks unprofessional. Did you try the Logitech G600. It looks more business appropriate, and as someone who has owned 3 nagas and a G600, it's a better mouse. White Verision.

I don't know of any other mice with that many programmable buttons that doesn't look gamer specific, sorry.

u/Iloveyouandi · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

My brother has been using a razer naga for god knows how long but recently switched to the logitech g600 and is in love with it https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0086UK7I6/ref=twister_B0091I20E6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I have to second the recommendation for a tank class (Immortal Juggernaut for Sith Warriors, or whatever the tank version of a Guardian is for Jedi Knights) with a companion healing you, plus a gaming mouse. I bought this one back in 2015 and it's still working fine; I'm sure there are upgraded models out there.

Another one I find pretty easy for solo play is to play a Sith Sorcerer in Lightning spec and AOE everything down; have your bubble up as much as possible, have your companion in healing mode, and use the channeled AOE power to just nuke everything.

u/Palidore · 1 pointr/Guildwars2

Honestly, if you're looking for peripherals that will make MMOs more intuitive to play, I think it would be smarter looking into things like the Razer Nostromo keypad, or the Logitech G600 mouse (also available in black).

Or better yet, invest in getting a mechanical keyboard. As someone who just yesterday got his first mechanical keyboard― the CM Storm Trigger― I have to say that I'm in love with it. Mechanical keys feel so, so much better to type on than your standard membrane ones, plus they're gonna last a whole lot longer, too. The particular keyboard that I bought also has those five extra macro keys on the side which I'll be bind to the map, hero, inventory, etc., for easier access without my hand having to leave WASD.

u/bleuvault · 1 pointr/swtor

Hey mate, I'm sure someone has suggested a similar solution, but I just thought I would throw in my two cents and recent experience.

I've always been a clicker, and I had trouble reaching those keys as well, it just felt so weird doing the whole 1-9 thing.

I recently bought these for me and my wife and I honestly only use the keyboard for F keys and jumping. It's on sale right now pretty significantly, so I highly recommend it. you can fine tune the sensitivity and all the keys are situated right under your thumb. I'm sure everyone in this thread has bellowed "NAGARAZRMOWS" at you. They are probably great, but on the off chance that you happen to be on a budget like myself, I can vouch for this bad boy. The logitech gets it done.

Also, it has presets. I have a different LED color and preset for SWTOR, Terraria, and PoE. It's sweet. PM me if you have any questions!

I would get Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse, White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0086UK7I6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_6Q5ywb8SCTE46 in black also

u/Cincinnatus_sc · 1 pointr/starcitizen

I would make sure that you have the homas button enabled. This will keep you from moving the ship with the mouse. I have a setup that can switch between homas and hotas easily. You are pretty button light in your setup. I would have suggest looking at this
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0086UK7I6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage
It has the 12 buttons on the side and a shift key. Another option is another option http://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-Cougar-Flight-Control-Panels/dp/B002HH9TRY
I can share my key setups if you want? I do joystick right and mouse left with pedals.
Also, shoot me a message if you want someone to fly with.

u/Raylour · 1 pointr/wow

These are the two mouses I would suggest. I have the Razer Naga but I got it before the Logitech G600 came out. Logitech has a very good track record so that may be the better way to go but do your research.

Razer Naga: http://www.amazon.com/Razer-Expert-Gaming-Mouse-RZ01-00580100-R3U1/dp/B007VPZR5U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1343498719&sr=8-2&keywords=razer+naga

Logitech G600: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Gaming-Mouse-White-910-002871/dp/B0086UK7I6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1343498738&sr=8-2&keywords=logitech+G600

Edit: Quick grammar question. When it comes to the word mouse in plural form, but you are talking about a computer mouse and not the animal, would it be mouses or mice?

Oh man, perfect, while you gave me that link, I found a deal for it haha. Thank you!

Ikea is awesome but it seems like their deals are mostly in person, their website isn't so great. I'm in the same spot with mismatched keyboards and mouse. I've always wanted a white set up but I gave up last year because you can only get 60hz monitors in white. I would KILL for this exact monitor with 144hz https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-1080P-Monitor-White-VZ239H-W/dp/B07489Q7TY it would look so nice. So yeah I have two white keyboards and black everything else, hate it.

If you did replace the astros there are a bunch of white headphones that would really bring everything together. Something like these two is what I had planned to do before giving up on white:
https://www.amazon.com/V-MODA-Crossfade-Over-Ear-Noise-Isolating-Headphone/dp/B00A39PPI0

https://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Momentum-Headphones-Samsung-Android/dp/B072MSR5X4

As far as naga-like white mice I think there is a logitech one actually. I'm personally super tempted by the white g403 or lancehead(the rgbs on this are done really well). https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G600-Gaming-Mouse-White/dp/B0086UK7I6
If you still want to be able to look at the case just move it to where the left LSR is. That's a seperate table and should isolate it from the vibrations. You could also put it under the desk with the window facing you. My set up is similar and I put it on a table touching my main one http://i.imgur.com/W208tMR.jpg

u/_THAT_GUY__ · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Case: Chaser a31 snow edition? Idk it's white with a window in your price range with optical drive areas. It's a bit of a unique look though.

Mouse: Logitech mmo mouse

As for keyboard you can't get too picky honestly. Logitech, white? Mechanical, white? good luck finding a decent one. Non, mechanical white? Like the look of mac keyboards? the gunmetal corsair keyboard looks nice with a lot of white peripherals. If you really want white and it still too look gaming with a low budget go with something made in china. If you have patience grab decent keyboard and a can of spraypaint and stard moding like this razer blackwidow

I know you didn't ask but steelseries makes some slick white peripherals like this headset

u/SirAxolotlTheThird · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

well there is a white version of the m65 with rgb but it lacks 12 side buttons that are on the schimitar which help tremendously in MMO titles.

the m65 is more aimed at fps gamers.

if you want a white themed MMO mouse id go with this: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G600-Gaming-Mouse-White/dp/B0086UK7I6

u/Sheffield178 · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

I have a g600 that I got when I used to play FFXIV all the time. I am now switching to play more FPS games (Overwatch and Deus Ex right now).

I feel comfortable with the g600, but I don't have a lot of experience with other mice. Should I be looking to upgrade or is this something that I won't really notice unless I was very competitive at FPS games?

u/RelyableKookie · 1 pointr/MouseReview

I would suggets the G600 or the Razer Naga They have plenty of buttons and the sensors are great for what you are doing, plenty of dpi customizations. The Naga is often on sale for under 50 and there is a chroma verson

I use a Logitech G600 combined with my Logitech G13 and I love every minute of it.
