I hadn't realized you had larger than average hands like me in the PM you sent me. With that being the case, the Logitech G9X is a gaming mouse that I highly recommend. It's great for your hand size, it's really comfortable, and it's high quality, and best of all, under your budget. It doesn't hurt that the Logitech G9X is Tom's Hardware's highest rated and most recommended mouse of 2013.

Don't take my word as law though, get multiple opinions.

EDIT: As red_wizard said, those are also great mice. Generally speaking, you can't go wrong with a Logitech. The only complaint I've ever read about the G500 is that some people said it is too long, which obviously is irrelevant to your hand size.

EDIT 2: Upon a little searching, the Logitech G700 is also a really great mouse, and looks extremely comfortable, since it is the same size and shape of my mouse.

I'd first like to start off by saying do some research on mechanical keyboards and see if you like the feeling, but for one of those you'll have to spend a bit more.

My keyboard. I love it. The macro keys are nice, but to be honest I mostly use them for browsing, and not in game. The backlit keys are aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. It's a solid keyboard, but it ultimately has a bunch of unnecessary stuff. A simple mechanical keyboard would work just as well if not better.

My mouse. This is the best mouse I've ever used. Both interchangeable grips are amazing feeling, the weight adjustment is nice, and best of all being able to change my DPI on the fly is amazing. Crank it up in BF3 when using slower moving cannons, lower it while sniping so I can be a bit more steady. If this one breaks, or just feels worn out I'll absolutely buy another. If you have anymore questions for me just ask.

I use the Logitech G9X and love it. It's adjustable from 200 to 5000 DPI with a button right behind the LMB that's easy to use. It comes with different grips and weights, although I took all the weights out because I pick up my mouse a lot. Also has braided cord.

Logitech G9x is what I use, and I'm female so it's not a giant mouse or anything like that. (At least when I bought it a year or 2 ago) it came with 2 different grips, one smooth and one more grippy, adjustable weights, you can even adjust the scroll wheel to be clicky or smooth. you can even remove the grips altogether and have pretty much an "old school" size mouse only more ergonomic, but the side buttons aren't as tactile that way.

I think the G9x is the largest mouse Logitech offers, but I'd prefer you could test it beforehand at some local computerstore, mousefeeling is very subjective.

I use the Logitech G9. Link to G9X. Adjustable weight, multiple grips, on the fly-dpi, frictionless wire and a toggle between clicky scrollwheel and frictionless wheel. Tilting (sideways) wheel. Two thumb buttons. You can use the provided software to set up profiles for various programs and dpi etc, but you don't need to and I don't personally have it installed.

Honestly, Logitech just make ergonomic mice at a decent price and apparently have excellent customer support, I've never had a problem with this mouse and I've been gaming with it for years.

As a little extra, I don't believe this is the mouse you are looking for, but perhaps others would be interested. I'm thinking about getting one eventually but my current G9 seems to be undying. A fully (insanely!) customizable mouse at the hardware level, I don't own one (yet) so I can't say much, but it seems interesting!

I'd like to recommend the Logitech G9x mouse.

It comes with 2 grips and a set of 4 and 7 gram weights to adjust the feel. It's also got variable dpi settings accessible on the fly using buttons on the top of the mouse. On the bottom it has a switch for the scroll wheel that you can use to toggle between smooth and click scrolling.

I've had a G9 going on 5 years and it's still working like a champ. The only difference I can see between it and the "x" model is that the G9x has an improved sensor and is (for some odd reason) 10 dollars cheaper.

As far as keyboards go, I can't help you, I've never dropped the money on anything but a basic one.

Yes. Higher end gaming mouses will let you adjust the sensitivity, and the laser is going to be higher end, so it will recognize movement much better, and aside from that, they just feel better. As for the keyboard, one of the big differences is the number of keys you can have pushed at the same time. Some lesser ones will not recognize more than two. You might be able to get away with that for some games, but it all depends on what you are playing. There is a huge personal preference factor on what feels good, so that is completely your call, but if you want something to look at, here is my setup: G9X Mouse G110 Keyboard

You could try the Logitech g300, I've used this one a bit but it has too many buttons for my liking. Might be a positive for you though.

I've had two mx518s, and one of them was replaced by my G9x. I use the G9x at home and the mx518 at work. It's not the same feeling, but I do like it a lot.

I rarely ever see this suggested, but I love my Mionix Naos 8200. I've been using it for a few months now.

Got it to replace my Logitech G9X that died on me after a few years. Also a great mouse.

I personally dislike Razer. I have gone through a few different models and none of them have lasted very long for me. I really don't want to have to RMA something every 3-4 months.

They also feel uncomfortable to me. If you have never had one in your hand, I suggest finding a store like Frys Electronics that has keyboards/mice on display for you to play with and see how it feels to you.

First off, the 3rd party software thing is irrelevant, it's only about the advantage gained.

I use third party software to adjust my brightness and digital vibrance on the fly, is that cheating?

In ESEA pugs now or back in 1.6/source when you couldn't talk when you were dead, people use 3rd party software for voice chat, is that cheating vs. teams who don't have one or can't afford it?

Just because it's 3rd party, doesn't mean anything.

And I'm not using my opinion. I'm using my actual real life experience in watching and playing thousands of hours of counter-strike. These are facts. Bunny hopping does not have an impact in CS:GO, this does not matter. It isn't cheating, it literally affects nothing of importance.

EDIT:

I guess my main viewpoint is that, if you do think what he's doing has no place, then fine, but it's more like breaking a rule. It's like pixel boosting. Some unintended exploit, but not even in the same universe as cheating (wallhack/aimbot).

I'm also a claw-gripper, I own a R.A.T. 7 and find that to be a very nice mouse. You can adjust its shape and weight a lot so you can make it fit to your hand better.

However, it is a bit expensive. If you don't want to spend that much I'd suggest going for the Logitech G9X, its similar to the R.A.T 7 in size/shape and it can also be customized to your needs. My friend has one so I can attest to its quality and I have used it.

If that is still out of your budget I'd suggest the CM Storm Spawn. It is a very affordable claw-grip mouse, but it is just as high in quality as mice twice its price. It doesn't have any customization options but it is built with optimizations for natural claw-grippers.

TL;DR: R.A.T. 7 = ~$90, Logitech G9X = ~$60, CM Storm Spawn = ~$35 Buy whichever is within your budget.

I've gone through tons of mice over the years and hands down the Logitech G9 is the best one I've ever owned, especially for that type of grip. The back end of it is perfectly designed to fit up into your palm, giving you total control. I'm not even a full palm type of grip and its perfect for me, it would be even better for your type. It also has the best middle wheel I've ever used.

It doesn't have a ton of bells and whistles, but it has everything you really need - on-the-fly DPI adjustment, a weight system, and back/forward buttons, all of which are more than enough for non-MMO games. Sometimes, especially for peripherals, you can definitely have "too much" this mouse is so perfectly simple. Logitech has also made their awesome software backwards compatible so you can use it with this mouse, although not with all the features of the newer models.

Unfortunately they don't make it anymore so its kind of hard to find new at a decent price, but I have had mine for years and it has taken all kinds of abuse - I haven't been a great owner to it - yet it still works as great as the day I first bought it, so I would not hesitate to buy one from a reliable store or an individual with good prior feedback. In fact I'd recommend it since they will get harder and harder to find as the years go on.

Its a fatty mouse for a meat-hander like me. I LOVE it and would rather die than get rid of my scroll wheel tilt buttons.

Examples:

How do I move windows from monitor to monitor so fast? Win + Shift + Arrow is NOT where I want to put my cognition. Flick left, flick right.
What apps do I use the most in the day? Chat and Email. I definitely use my DPI adjuster buttons to bring those up without needing to go to the taskbar or Alt-Tab through a million windows.
Do I need a window maximized? Win + Scroll up. I don't want to have to move my right hand to the keyboard to maximize. I don't want to have to move my mouse to the top right corner of the window. In both cases, I would have to get back to where I actually want to be. That's crap. Just lemme make it full size for a sec. I'll likely Win + Scrolldown to bring it back to windowed when I'm done looking at it.
Or I'll hit Shift + DpiDown to send Alt + f4, because I don't want to have to look at my keyboard or spend time feeling to make sure I am going to hit the correct f-key.

I don't care much about a special keyboard, but I definitely use AHK to improve my workflow (hotkeys and hotstrings).

Buying a gaming mouse is all dependent on what you are playing. RTS? FPS? RPG? MMORPG? There are different things about each mouse that tailors to a certain type of game. On-the-fly DPI switching is mostly for RTS or FPS games. Also, gaming mice are more geared towards the super high DPI ~5000. Even then, if you aren't that competitive, I would stick with a regular $5-10 laser mouse. As long as it's accurate, it shouldn't matter. Just turn up the sensitivity in control panel->mouse. If you are going to be serious, then maybe you should save up more serious money. Personally I have a G9x, but I also really like the G500.

Logitech G9X. It's feature rich, comes with two different grips, weights, adjustable dpi, and plenty of customization through Setpoint (profiles/colors etc).

I have the original G9, it's been great for like 2 years now... though I will admit the one grip has that soft rubber coating, and it has started to wear off. I always clean my mice/keyboards with alcohol because I eat at my desk a lot, I think that's what caused it.. I don't believe it was normal wear. The other grip that comes with it is smaller and texturized, that thing will last forever.

Logitech G9X Mouse, best claw grip to date. To bad they are discontinued :(. I find Razer mice to be extremely overrated. THeir sensors suck compared to most things on the market, especially the new G302. I personally dont need but only 2 side buttons ontop of mouse 1 - 3. Anything outside of that is a waste. I wish more mice did what the G9/G9X did and had swappable bodies and the easy weight system.

logitech g9x is superior to both those shitty razer mice. A lot of Korean pros use the G9X too, and the only reason most pros use Razer is because they are sponsored by them and required to do so.

You can customize to claw or palm grip, and the wieght of the mouse on the G9X. Logitech warranty is also waaaaaaay more reliable than cheap ass Razer.
