As soon as I read flip the mouse out, I knew exactly what model it was. I hate these things. I got chewed out by the CEO of a company I worked for because he couldn't figure out how to get the mouse working. I had to open it for him in front of a prospective client. He wasn't happy that he made himself look like an idiot, and blamed me for it.

Also, I could buy a Logitech MX Master Mouse for around the same price and get a 10x better experience.

u/Saerain · 12 pointsr/starcitizen

Heh. The X1 "Force" scheme leaves me gazing lovingly at my mouse.

u/Mr_Spade · 7 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

Mouse is the Logitech MX Master

Mousepad is probably This

u/Eudemon369 · 6 pointsr/buildapcsales

I thought the MX Master is the newer one, also searching for the UPC you can get this for 52 on Amazon so not really 54% off

according to wiki:

the Performance MX released in 2009 and MX master released in 2015

Available on for the same price, too:

Logitech MX Master.

It's basically a toned down gaming mouse. Three re-programable buttons (per application) on the left and probably the best scroll wheel combo ever designed. The main traditional scroll wheel will release the ratchet mechanism if it's spun fast enough, great on long specification documents. Then they added a separate horizontal scroll wheel on the thumb, which is a awesome on excel.

I personally don't really see the point of putting all my common functions on buttons, the Solidworks right-click/drag menu is where I put all of those.

I'm constantly flipping between Matlab/Excel, which is why I prefer a mouse more setup for those applications. Solidworks has a ton of shortcut options that just don't exist in other programs.

Also, 3D mouse is a huge plus for Solidworks. Bit of a learning curve, but you won't regret it. Don't go for one of the crazy wrist support ones though, the basic puck is more than enough.

Logitech MX Master (that I use) is $70 on Amazon -

But those kind of mice used to be extra expensive ~8 years ago.

u/disk5464 · 3 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards
u/jnmxcvi · 3 pointsr/buildapc

I only use a wireless mouse when either hard to get behind the computer to plug my mouse in or it's a travel thing. I'm using a cheap $8 tecknet that'll last me 1.5 years apparently running on a single triple A battery. It turns itself off after I stop using it for a few minutes, but it's whatever.

If you're really looking for a high end wireless mouse a lot of techguru's on youtube utilize the MX Master by Logitech.

u/No_Chest_Hair · 3 pointsr/macsetups

Amazon has a few cheap mice that work really well and have more features than a lot of really expensive mice.

I bought this mouse for about 10 bucks after my expensive Bluetooth mouse broke. Over a year and a half later, it is still kicking ass. It's ugly as hell, but the only thing I would trade it for is a Logitech MX Master

u/Fischtronaut · 3 pointsr/MouseReview

The MX Master is 69$ right now and it's debatably the best work/productivity mouse. I would check it out, everyone I know who has one loves it.

Edit: US Link

u/Grenne · 2 pointsr/medicalschool

I bought a nice wireless mouse ( and bound anki keys for deck select, zoom in, zoom out, correct easy, and wrong. Made doing anki from under a blanket on the couch during cold months much more enjoyable.

u/TheCrimsonGlass · 2 pointsr/weightroom

I already have one. It works for a couple days, then the pain just starts again.

Also, that one does have as many buttons as mine.

u/Insaniaksin · 2 pointsr/LogitechG

Can't use bluetooth in the office? Why?

If your mouse has that same orange icon on the bottom of it, it is compatible with that Unifying Receiver.

If this is your mouse, and it has the icon on the bottom of it, it is compatible.

u/funklahoma · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

Best bet would probably be an MXMaster, also by Logitech. Cheapest on Amazon is around $70 though. Has a couple extra buttons.

For something more gaming oriented, there's the G602. Similar feel as the G502 mentioned below and runs around $40-50.

For $50~, you should also seriously consider a wired mouse like a G502. It has the same sensor as the G900 and a handful of extra buttons.

u/highlord_fox · 2 pointsr/sysadmin

Ugh, trackballs. I can't stand them, but to each their own.

My home mouse is an MX Master 2S, which I got two years ago when I broke a button on my last mouse, the prior versioned MX Master. I recently bought a new set of plastics for the older one, and brought that into the office. It's a pretty decent mouse, but the quality tends to get meh if you have the transmitter any reasonable distance (read: > 2') away. Otherwise, I love them to death- long battery life, easy to recharge, ergonomic, and plenty of buttons/dials. You do need to have Logitech Options installed (the GeForce Experience of Mice) to configure it, which is annoying, but the pros outweigh the cons.

Coming from the MX Master series (which are chunky and have WEEEEIGHT behind them), I couldn't stand the Amazon Version, as it's the same shape, but like 1/3rd the weight. But, it's also less than half the cost, so I throw them at my users who want an ergonomic wireless mouse.

u/adamfreshy · 2 pointsr/functionalprint

It is this mouse here: . If you found this compartment it would be much appreciated

u/krrl · 2 pointsr/graphic_design

It's totally based on personal preference, but take this as .. alternative wisdom. I used to rock dual monitors for years, then I switched to just one, decently larger, monitor. I was finding that the only thing dual monitors was helping me multitask was distractions. Whether I had obvious time wasters like messenger or youtube open, or ostensibly 'work related' programs like outlook, it was always there to distract me from the task at hand. I found that moving to one monitor has let me be much more intentional with my focus. Checking email or texts is still just a ⌘tab away, but now I only do it when I want to, not every time something pops up in my periphery. Something to think about :)

I also use a wacom tablet, MX Master mouse by logi, and these invaluable bad boys.

Maybe the original is more in line [mx master](Logitech MX Master Wireless Mouse – High-precision Sensor, Speed-adaptive Scroll Wheel, Thumb Scroll Wheel, Easy-Switch up to 3 Devices

I love mine, ended my wrist/thumb pain

u/AutoGeek3000 · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

It looks kind of funny in the pictures, but the MX Master is gorgeous in person:

I use it every day and only have to charge it about once a month.

u/tokanizar · 1 pointr/mac

Not with multi touch feature but I just got this mouse from Logitech and I like it.

u/humanCharacter · 1 pointr/EngineeringStudents

I just cleaned it... but my Lamp of choice is Verilux

I have two laptops (MacBook and PC)

I wish I had a bigger desk...

I'm a simple student with a lot of shelves (that's where all my engineering stuff is sitting on right now)

Wireless mouse and keyboard with both being capable of using the laptop as a cheap dual monitor setup thanks to some software.

Pro Tip: Get a good Mouse

Mine is the MX Masters

Or you can drop $100 and get the S2 variant

u/canuspellit · 1 pointr/battlestations

Logitech MX Master Mouse. There is a button on the bottom that lets you switch between devices.

u/Capt_Blahvious · 1 pointr/MouseReview

I have a deathadder myself that a friend gave to me after he didn't like it. I was coming from an MX Revolution that died. The MX was my favorite all around mouse ever. I am now considering the MX Master:
I was thinking about the MX Master because I want one that is more utilitarian, but the more that I think about it, I don't do much other than game on my PC. If I did more office type stuff on my PC, it would be a no brainer. BUT, since I really do game on my PC quite a bit, I'm thinking about a Zowie:

u/Orangematz · 1 pointr/SuggestALaptop

If you want a really nice one, you could go with this, but it's rather expensive.

What about this?

u/borzon · 1 pointr/buildapc

Wow....that truly is a dream build.

Edit: Time to be helpful!

Windows 10 has rarely given me problems. With a fresh install, it's easy as pie. Upgrading from 8 required some small updates and whatnot but after a week of lazily updating things as they came, my transition was complete. Ymmv though.

You might want to check out the Logitech G700s or MX Master. I think they're pretty friendly for big hands. Ideally if you have stores nearby you can go try different ones and see how they feel.

MX Master

There are other mice that are more suitable for gaming in terms of response time or amount of buttons, but if comfort is your number one concern these might be the best fit (haha). Who knows though. There are so many mice out there now that I'm sure tons of them fit for you. Again, getting a chance to try different ones out would be quite helpful. Otherwise it's mostly trial and error, or a trip to youtube to see how other big hand people like different mice.

u/Mr401blunts · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

I actually want this,

Think about it,

5 buttons. Each scroll wheel clicks down & 3 independent buttons.

Godly concept, i really want one & will continue to search till i find one of modern taste.

And so i did

Edit: Fist contender & i love this idea, its by the thumb.

Logitech possibly better? Different angle.

Picture of inline wheels by Patriot & article, idk where buy

HOLY FUCK WHAT IS THIS???? [ it is not a bouble mouse. Not double the mouse speed :( ]

Itz like a lil baby version.

Final edit : Gonna possibly buy the Logitech

u/_Mimizuku · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

i currently have the G700(not the s) and was looking to get another for my pc at work, and then i saw no longer available and that the new version was the s, i wish they really didnt put that damn detail on the top, makes it look so cheesy and "gaming" aside from the graphics on the mouse its really good, certainly for a wireless gaming mouse.
for a good alternative i would suggest the logitech MX Master ( ) i ended up paying a little more and getting this one, check out the review Linus Tech Tips did on it.

Try checking out this mouse here. The Logitech MX Master. I use it with my MacBook Pro. Kinda expensive, coming in at 99 bucks. However, it's really precise and the scroll wheel is a dream. It also fits really well in your hand.

u/jacek_ · 1 pointr/thinkpad

Small mice are RSI inducers for me and Apple mouse was the worst offender. I have a cheap ergonomic mouse, which is really great and a Logitech Master MX which is very high quality, but not as comfortable as the cheap one.

I use a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard with brown switches at work and a bit smaller one with blue switches at home. I miss a trackpad though, so I might switch to a Thinkpad USB keyboard in the future.

u/The_Limit115 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace
u/hodgEEEEE · 1 pointr/macsetups

Super clean man! But you gotta ditch that mouse and keyboard duo. FWIW, I use a pok3r and a MX Master for my work and home set ups (both are Macs). /r/mechanicalkeyboards is your new best friend =].

u/Threnulak · 1 pointr/GoodValue

If you're gonna drop ~$100 on a mouse, you would do way better with the MX Master. Picked it up a few months ago and it' the best mouse I've ever laid my hands on, by miles.

u/-Bevrel- · 1 pointr/peripherals

So for mouse I would get a Logitech MX Master ( or MX Master 2 ( Both are very good options and are wireless and can be turned into wired if needed. Also the MX Master 2 can connect/switch between multiple computers with different os. As for the mechanical keyboard, it really depends. What do you like? Clicky/Tactile? or maybe Silent/Tactile. It is really up to you. But I really like the AZIO MGK1-K ( as brown switches are my favorite.

u/Clevererer · 1 pointr/AskElectronics

It's pricey, but it's a great mouse. The speedwheel function is sweet and electronically adjustable.

u/TheCompassMaker · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

oh wow the mx master is pretty much the same price, I remember when it was $100

u/dark_roast · 1 pointr/editors

Here ya go:

Just be aware that their Windows drivers are horrible. I have the Performance MX, which was the successor to this model, and it's a good mouse. But I've had to disable the drivers for the mouse to correct issues with the scroll wheel. Everything still works ok with the drivers disabled, I just can't customize what the buttons do.

u/CommanderArcher · 1 pointr/buildapc

the New g900s is awesome but it is marketed as a pro-gaming mouse, but the MX master would work as well (if you have decent sized hands)

u/_kiwi_fruit · 1 pointr/Unity3D

Stop buying the shitty, wannabe mouses. Get the Logitech MX Master and you're going to save much more money in the long run. Hell, anything from Logitech is going to be a substantial upgrade and will last for years. I'm talking from experience.

What items are eligible seems to be hit or miss. I've been wanting to get a new mouse, so was thinking I could possibly do it through this promo. But some gaming mice are included, while others are not.

u/jtriangle · 0 pointsr/worldpolitics

With RES you get the neverendingreddit plugin, so really all you have to do is scroll down and it stacks pages on top of eachother. Also I have this logitech performance MX mouse that lets you unlock the scroll wheel so it free spins. So really all I had to do was load your user page, unlock the wheel and scroll down pretty fast. I did this on my laptop so my desktop was free. I'm in the middle of a photoshop project so it just kinda ran in the background.

If you're curious about the mouse, this is what you're after which is the upgrade over what I have. You get a thumb wheel too, which is probably nice.
