I have 2 boys that are VERY into all things mechanical. My husband races RC cars as a hobby and both of them grew up watching him take them apart and building them. They're 9 and 5 now.
When they were 3, they could do some minor work on RC cars. When my oldest was a year and a half I bought him a ton of these take apart cars for him to work on. The kid took them apart and put them all back together within 30 minutes.
No way in hell do I believe that a 3 year old took apart a fucking microwave AND put it back together. This guy is lying through his teeth. I've seen a microwave taken apart, the casing is usually unfinished and is VERY sharp a 3 year old would lose a fucking finger.
