The stadium thing pisses me off, it's essentially corporate welfare for organizations that hold a city hostage. Major League Losers is a great book on how we all get shafted by stadium development and you can get it for like $4 on amazon after shipping.

I question your perception of reality, though if you know of a respectable economic study that supports this sort of investment, I am open to learning something new.
