My current travel kit is everything I need in a shoulder bag, and includes a folding palette similar to what EthanBurnsides linked. I bought a 'pre-made' travel palette, thinking it might be a better idea, but rarely use it because it's not as easy to use and doesn't have the colors i really need. Building your own palette from one like this or this is the best way to go.
