So had a very similar issue, but genders were reversed (had a male who likes to eat off the tier and wood flip the bowl. Axed bowl, but returned it when I got my younger female ferret).

It could be she just likes her food out in the open because she doesn't like her wiskers touching the sides of the bowl.

Or she's doing it because it's her routine and what she's most confortable with.

Or it's dominance, she gets her food her way and by flippong it out of the cage, controlling when your new male eats.

Either you have to live with her doing it for a while and hope she eventually stops, or you can get a bowl that is attached to the cage.

I use MidWest Snap'y Fit Stainless Steel Pet Bowl, 10 oz. Found in the link below https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076M18DJB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_kEFDCb2DX7CPA

This bowl allows my older one to scoop some food onto the tier to eat, but doesn't allow him to knock it over as it slides tightly into a track. That seemed to clear up my issue... but when he is upset at me he still manages to throw a few kibbles in my direction lol.

Hope this was helpful to you!
