mc7455, I purchased a used one from Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0722HHYFQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And a USB enclosure - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01J705MTC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

No idea if this is the best enclosure, but seems to work fine. I really need to get some antennas to get more out of my setup. Note that I would have gotten an em7565 for Cat12 and better carrier aggregation (which would need a different enclosure) but I figured I wouldn't be on the best towers traveling around in my RV to make use of it, so it would have probably been overkill for my use case.

I have this plugged into a Raspberry Pi 4, which runs the modem and acts as a wifi access point for my laptops/etc, in addition to running Plex and other things. Check out the Facebook group LTE Hacks, or you can also let me know if you need help with any of it.

Edit to add: Shameless Visible referral code if this is helpful: zvNhb

Depends upon how much you want to spend. Pairing a mc7455($121) with a mini pci-e enclosure from amazon ($28) https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01J705MTC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
worked well for me but that is tethered to your pc which means no wifi for other devices (maybe you could share your pc's connection to other devices some other way). You could find an openwrt router compatible router and connect it to that to give your self wifi from the calyx sim. I originally purchased a wg3526 router ($120) to pair with the mc7455 but for some reason I got a lot of disconnects using the Calyx sim. When it works it is really fast.

It's kind of tough to recommend a LTE modem because LTE bands are different around the world. You need to do research on what bands are being used in the area your in. You can find cheap USB dongles but they don't offer many bands and tend to be region and carrier specific.

For maximum flexibility maybe a MC7455 card ($120ish) in a USB case like this from Amazon.

Or maybe a whole router with modem inside. The RUT950V is a global version.
