Sounds like a potential allergy. Try a different type of protein. There are options like egg, vegan, goat milk, etc to experiment with until you pinpoint your problem.

I have read there are goat milk protein powders out there. Also check out the hemp protein powders https://www.vitacost.com/blog/sports-and-fitness/sports-nutrition/5-alternatives-to-whey-protein.html I haven't tried them myself but maybe something worth checking out. Also are you adding anything to your shakes or just adding water? How about juicing veggies and fruits together and then adding collagen powder to it?
