Be very careful of any multi-tool you get - the cheap ones while they claim to be stainless have hinge pins that rust.

that said - look a set of separate tools is very important - if your only tool is a multi-tool - you often need a second one. for example often you need needle-nose pliers AND some other tool
A spike - and a large fixed blade knife, that you can use like a cleaver - with a blade large and strong enough to be hammered
