I love the product Natural Calm. It's a magnesium supplement that I take twice a day. I've found that upping my protein intake has caused me the same problems, even though I also get lots of water, fiber and caffeine.

Be forewarned you should start with a small dose and work up until you figure out how much works for you. Starting off with too large a serving will certainly clear you out though!

OMG this happened/happens to me too - lots of good solutions! My main suggestion is to keep things simple and pay attention to your Magnesium in particular...

  • Spoon peanut butter out of the jar, directly into your mouth (my favorite is Skippy Extra Chunk, MMV but its only 4g per 2 TB which works for me)
  • Quest oven pizza (again, MMV but a whole pizza is 12g and feels so indulgent)
  • Homemade mozzarella sticks like this recipe from Low Carb Yum - dip in ranch dressing for ultimate comfort
  • Buffalo Chicken Dip - eat with a spoon and love every minute
  • Dove Mini Ice cream Bars - one bar only has 6g so MMV but, ice cream, come on...
  • Turn your ketoade into a cocktail - add seltzer water, pour into a wine glass...keeping on eye on your magnesium in particular (Natural Vitality Calm is my suggestion) will help with cramps/bloating

Sorry you're dealing with that! I'm at the other end of the poop spectrum, lol.

If you're eating any high protein bars/shakes, cut those out. I second prune juice. Magnesium powder can help as a laxative and can't hurt in regular doses. Also fiber such as oatmeal, psyllium husks, or other whole grain cereals can help.

I usually drink a full 16oz glass of water first thing in the morning, do some stretches. Finally this yoga pose helps me get things moving - I don't know that it would help with total constipation but I'll get into it, making sure my heels are underneath my sit bones, stay there for about 3-5 minutes and maybe do shoulder stretches or something to pass the time, and boom, moves my system right along. I think something about the sit bones resting on the heels helps relax the pelvic muscles and lets the digestive tract get moving.

this is what I take, I just mix a tiny bit with some juice every day, works wonders.

I can echo that getting a little magnesium powder at night before bed has made a huge difference in how I feel and my level of energy during fasting. I take a powder called Calm https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000OQ2DJQ/ I take one teaspoon in water before bed. I would recommend it purely on my own experience.

Natural Calm or Natural Calm Sleep. You need to keep on top of your electrolytes and these are good sources of magnesium.

I'm not sure where you're located. I've seen it drugstores like CVS and I know for sure that Whole Foods and Vitamin World sell it. If not you can also purchase on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000OQ2DJQ/ref=twister_B01DSC2MFM?_encoding=UTF8&th=1
