Totally off topic, but I gave my son a high DHA fish oil supplement. (supposed to help with mental health, depression, ADHD)

Coincidentally, it completely cleared up his skin. He discovered this accidentally when he ran out and started breaking out again. He begged me to reorder it.

At first I didn't believe him, but I tried it myself and have not had any acne since. I've been taking it for about a year now.

Now I've put it on auto-delivery, we're not allowed to run out!

I really wish someone had suggested this when I was in high school.

edit: It's this one:

thanks for your detailed response.

the jury seems out on uridine in healthy individuals and that study linked is for mice, and the effective dose is massive iirc (https://www.reddit.com/r/Nootropics/comments/6o9z3z/chronic_uridine_administration_induces_fatty/). if true, what does this mean for the happy stack? stop taking it once you're happy? heh.

basically i'm asking for advice around if i should continue at all, or stop.

Well, if you're correct, then I probably already know the good ones. I'm currently using this: https://www.amazon.com/Natures-Way-Mega-DHA-1000mg-Softgels/dp/B000MXG1G2

...because it has more DHA...

It says it's molecularly distilled, tested for PCBs, heavy metals (including mercury) and other impurities. Think that's good?

Too much of anything will not help. You're getting way too much EPA, which has potent anti-inflammatory effects, and perhaps not enough DHA. The beginning recommended ratio is 2:1, and starting dose is around 1000mg DHA/500mg EPA.
