You can buy enteric-coated peppermint capsules for much less at a health food store.

Here's what I use

I am sooo incredibly jealous that you spent time in Big Sur recently.

You also managed to select every show that I absolutely despise and many that I refuse to watch as your examples. Interesting.

I clicked on your links and read your story...did you know that people can be highly sensitive to corn syrup and GMO corn products? That shit is in everything...anyway people who have a sensitivity display all the symptoms of what looks like slow poisoning (which it probably is)...and your doctor will never tell you about THAT. It is helpful to keep an exceedingly detailed food diary along with your bodies symptomatic responses. Pretty easy to see the culprit after one or two weeks.

Cut it out of your life (so difficult when it is corn syrup that shit is in EVERYTHING), take daily acidophilus; I take the cheapo 'gummy bear kind'; problem solved; no more illness (poisoning); no more suffering.

{sarc} It is nice of the Dr not to mention that you are suffering the same symptoms as slow poisoning...sometimes I wonder if they get paid to keep us ignorant of the basic functions of the body or if the plot extends farther in the sense that even their basic education in medical school no longer covers such simple matters as long term poisoning so that their masters ASSES can be covered while they poison people.

Enteric coated peppermint oil can help with any pain in the meantime. One or two will cut any suffering in half or eliminate it completely.

This is my favorite kind (cheaper online):

However nothing will help permanently unless you isolate your sensitivity and eliminate it from your diet. I cheat occasionally and suffer the consequences according to the extent of my transgression. For example, having a 16 ounce Coke will throw me into significant suffering for at least 6 hours. What did I expect from something that can clean all the rust off old car parts when they are soaked in it? IDK...probably not a 'food product' though.

Sorry to go so 'off topic' but I can't bear to see people suffering and I feel overwhelming need to share, if there is any possibility I can help.

You're very welcome! For symptoms I've also used tramadol for pain and Zofran for nausea, though insurance is picky about how much you get per month. Bentyl is also used for pain due to spasm. Research has also show accupuncture helps about 80% of people with some level of symptom relief. I also take peppermint oil capsules 3x daily to help and I really like it. This is what I take: http://www.amazon.com/Natures-Way-Pepogest-Peppermint-softgels/dp/B00016AHRY/ref=sr_1_3?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1419522255&sr=1-3&keywords=peppermint+oil+capsules

Also I recommend reading the book "Living Well with Gastroparesis" by Crystal Saltrelli. It's got a lot of good information.
