Yeah, I've been reading reviews on the D7, and I'm no longer sold on it.

>1/2019 Update:My third full replacement has now failed. In 9 months I've had 3 new units, plus a "repaired" unit and they have all failed. They will work for a few weeks and then trouble starts and progresses until the unit just loses its mind. What a complete waste of time, money, and effort this has been. Such a miserable hunk of junk and just a miserable company to work with. I'll probably try and get this one replaced again as this will be my last chance before the warranty expires. I should have done a better job of researching product quality and not just feature set. A cool feature is worthless when the vacuum can't vacuum.

Edit: After watching more of the Vacuum Wars videos and reading some of the reviews (positive and negative, and not just the 5s and 1s, but some 4s and 2s, I just bought the D7 for $600 ($250 less than MSRP), which was a big selling point for me, considering the iRobot S9 is so costly.

I also have the Dyson hand vac, super handy. Mine is the cheaper/older model that doesn't have the stick/powerhead attachment, it's a hand-vac and that's it. It is awesome for crevice cleaning and sucking up cobwebs as you mentioned. I also use it to suck up dust piles after sweeping, rather than a dustpan.

I recently purchased a robot vacuum and I have to say it was one of the best investments ever. I got the Neato D7 which is currently on sale right now for over $200 off. I always thought he robot vacuums were just overpriced gimmicky tech gadgets, but it does an AMAZING job. With its ability to easily slide under chairs and other furniture, it honestly does a better job at vacuuming than I do.
