Kaz is right in both accounts. I used some red strobe light covering and just cut and glue it into place. Specifically this:

And its just attached with a white elastic that I put my wig over. I was originally gonna use magnets but the mask turned out too heavy for that. And all of that is attached with a combination of hot glue and contact cement.
