I use this frothing pitcher for that purpose. It feels safer than standing your Aeropress 2 feet off the counter to press into a tall travel mug. I also like it for brewing directly into ice for iced coffee. This one happens to be the ideal size of the Aeropress filter cap... If the opening were literally 1 mm smaller in diameter it wouldn't fit.
