Basically if you got one wii remote (or wii u pro controller) you would be fine for all Wii U games, including multiplayer ones. Additional controllers may be bought if you are interested in MP wii games, or wii vc.

And even if it was 60 its still worth it. The battery on this thing can last months.
You are talking about the Wii classic Pro. You should look into the Wii U Pro controller. No squeezy triggers, much better compatibility with Mayflash (from what I have heard).

I just did this yesterday. I also got Mario Kart 8 for $36 and Wind Waker for $30. Thanks Sears and Reddit for sharing this information.
Yeah, I hate the price on controllers, but right now, you probably wont find the Pro for much less than $50. Xbone and PS4 controllers are like $60.

You could always buy the cheaper 3rd party controllers, but I personally don't trust the reliability.

I don't get it, I see plenty of them at a decent price on both Amazon and the usual import sites:

Labeling on the back was in both Japenese and English other than that, no difference whatsoever. I'll actually have to look at one of the pros we have here at work to see if there is any difference.

Cheapest I've seen the pro controller is $40. Right now there are Japanese versions for it (that also work on NA consoles per the reviews) going for ~$43 on Amazon

I tired connecting my wiiU pro controller (newly bought from here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009AP23NI/ref=olp_product_details?_encoding=UTF8&me= ) to a friend's wiiU and after he synced it the controls were all weird like in super smash during the character selection the left stick would work but during the fight it wouldn't. Can anyone help me?
