I had really bad upper bacne. What solved it for me was using an italy towel or a [salux] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007IAE5WY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) towel and [this] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00606RORK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) soap. Not the best lather but I have no bacne what so ever and the scars are going away too :) Just need to remember to patch test it first to make sure you don't have a reaction to it.

A common active ingredient in Head and Shoulders shampoos is pyrithione zinc. If that helped you before it might work in a bar as well. I’m not sure if you use amazon or want to order one but this is one used to treat dandruff. You may have luck finding the vanicream z bar in drugstores near you.

rant
I got sick which put me in terrible condition and it ended up affecting my ability to complete my skincare routine every night and has made my eye area and nose super chapped, so i've been using petroleum jelly to moisturise those areas... really sucks when i've been working hard to be consistent with my routine and then BAM sick me just wants to give everything up and let a bad breakout happen

rave
The Paula's Choice Super Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 is AMAZING, I can't get over how cosmetically elegant it is, it is pretty much everything I want out of a sunblock. It is completely zinc oxide based with at least SPF 30 and it doesn't pill at all on my skin and dries to a matte finish and manages to keep me significantly less oily throughout the day. It's tinted and I am pretty sure the tint is too dark for me and I'd actually prefer a whitecast versus a tinted cast, but I don't mind because it isn't noticeable at all and makes this product usable by a wide range of skintones.

new purchases

  • Dr. Sponge Konjac Sponge - Excited to try this as it seems to be the most gentle cleansing tool out there

  • 2 lb aztec secret healing clay ((Repurchase)) - Want to retry this mask again, back when I started using it I would leave it on for an hour or until it was completely dry and wonder why it would irritate my skin... now I know better

  • Rosebud Salve (Original & Minted Rose) ((Repurchase)) - This is my fave stuff to use on my lips and i've been out of it for a while! I also like using the original for dry spots on my face

  • 2% Pyrithione Zinc Bar Soap (Vegan Formula) - My pocketderm dermatologist recommended this and i'm finally getting around to using it, i read on here someone rubs their konjac sponge into the soap to use it which I want to experiment with too

  • Physicians Formula Airbrushing Pressed Powder SPF 30 (Translucent) - To retouch on SPF throughout the day because you can never get too much SPF protection, and also oil-control

I have yet to try these but they are on my list when I need more shampoo:

They have a couple scents but they look eerily similar to lush’s bars.

This appears to be the best bar version for dandruff. (I want to mention this one because there’s another brand on amazon/Etsy that is for dandruff but they have palm oil. When I asked if they had any palm oil free options, they sent me a manifesto on how expensive finding an alternative is so poop on them.)

Me too. Do you think this one would work just as well? I'd like to try this.

I'm not sure if I have deficiency, doubt it, but I've been using this pyrithione zinc bar per my pocketderm dermatologist recommendation. So far I'm really liking it, it has helped with my redness and leaves my skin nice and soft!

Do you wear a watch or other jewelry? Could be an allergic reaction to a particular type of metal.

Try http://www.amazon.com/Noble-Formula-Pyrithione-Mango-Butter/dp/B00606RORK/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1427468249&sr=8-5&keywords=zinc+soap too. Yeah it's 13 bucks a bar, but it lasts a long time and it has been miraculous for minor psoriasis and skin irritations for me. It also cleared up my face acne in 2 days and has kept it clear long term. I've had maybe 3 total break outs since I began using it about 6 months ago, when I used to have moderate acne on a weekly basis.
