I believe the Gabbapentin has to be prescribed.
So I've read. As far as I can tell, that belief is based entirely on a single study of mice and rabbits (unfortunately I can't access it). It strikes me as remarkably-odd, considering the plethora of human users like myself who have experienced very real effects, both positive and negative.
I'm no stranger to inert supplements...and GABA was most certainly not one of them for me. Unlike many others, though, I experienced decidedly-negative effects, including extreme irritability and exhaustion (yep, it put me to sleep...but not nearly as kindly as Phenibut!)
Medical science is really such a perplexing field at times... :P

It’s a neurotransmitter supplement. You actually get a little tingly just for like 10-15 Min. GABA is the same thing that Benzos mess up bit helps.
Gaba supplements are the only non prescription medicine I’ve ever taken that helped my sleep. Glad to hear you’ve kicked the other stuff. Good luck OP and have a hazy 4/20 :)
