Eh, I think the key to good stool is soluble fiber (found in apples, oatmeal, psyllium husk, etc), not protein. And a rectal douche can probably clean out the relevant anatomy with less trouble than what you're describing. You're also telling people to shove things in their ass when they're not turned on, which sounds like a bad idea to me.

Here's my typical advice on the subject:
___
As Dan Savage likes to say: since you wouldn't have oral sex with a mouth full of food, then don't have anal sex with an ass full of poop! Your rectum is the "outbox" of your digestive tract, and it's conveniently about the length of a penis. Whether or not your rectum has stuff in it has a lot to do with diet, with a bit of random chance. You or your partner can put a finger in your ass before going all-in to check the status. If you've had a BM recently and don't feel like you need to go, you're more likely to be in the clear. There are also extra steps you can take to keep clean, though!

Short term prep: anal douche, NOT enema. Anal douching is simply rinsing out your rectum with some water. Since the rectum is about the length of an erect penis, that's the main area you need to worry about. Using a bulb/bottle, rinse with a few ounces of warm water until it comes out clean. The rectum is meant to be empty (unless you need to poop); the rest of your digestive system is not. Do not do an enema to prep for anal sex.

Longer-term prep (at least a day before): eat psyllium husk as your fiber source. For some reason it clumps your stool into the perfect texture so that nothing is left behind. I take it daily and most BMs are followed by one clean wipe. Aim for at least 5 g of husk fiber per day, ramp up to 10 g if you like. Stay hydrated since it tends to soak up water. The easiest fix is to take capsules, though you'll need to take at least a half dozen of them. You can also blend the actual husks into a smoothie as an ingredient. Psyllium husk is also the active ingredient in Metamucil, which is expensive and has a bunch of sugar in it. I've never used that product, but I imagine it's convenient. Other healthy-poop options are apples & oatmeal - these are all good sources of both soluble & insoluble fiber.

Same. The more aroused I am the easier it is. The husband is really great at combining foreplay with a gentle push pull motion until he's there. He always waits for me to give the go ahead (usually I just say, "fuck me" or something) before he starts pounding away.

I don't douche, I just pay attention when I poop. If I wipe clean the first time, I consider myself good to go. I am good to go 90% of the time since I take psyillum husk daily (though I dont take as much as it recommends).

Maybe it is because we've been together since highschool, but if I don't feel clean down there I will tell him I destroyed the toilet earlier that day lol.

u/TheResGhost · 70 pointsr/gay_irl

Right? Just take some of these with your other daily vitamins and then you’ll never be dirty again 😇

u/PrismaCarnage · 21 pointsr/soylent

I got a bidet. Changed my life, no exaggeration. Wipe first for the big stuff, then use bidet fully, then wipe again one time to get the water off. My toilet paper usage is way down, and my butthole is never agitated and sore.

I also take soluble fiber pills to make it be normal coming out. It's no big deal to me like it is to you. Taking 3-6 of them a day is way easier than trying to incorporate some traditional food into my diet. The fact that it's soluble is fine. There is a definite difference in the solidness due to the fiber pills.

Edit: added a link to the bidet I got.

u/sean_marris · 10 pointsr/gaybros

Thirded. I love this stuff.

This is the Psyllium Husk that I take: https://www.amazon.com/Foods-Psyllium-Husk-500mg-Vcaps/dp/B0013OW2KS/ref=sr_1_sc_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1469630184&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=cyllium+husk

I find that it works way better than Metamucil or Citrucel. However, you have to be careful when starting a fiber regimen. I currently take 3 pills with every meal, but it is best to start low and increase the amount of fiber you consume over a period of weeks to avoid unwanted bloating and cramping.

Sometimes when you cut you eat "volume" type foods, like all the fibrous veggies. Remember too much fiber can back you up.... Which is why some people have problems with quest bars. There are 2 types of fiber.

I take 3 fiber pills in the morning. This keeps me pretty regular, regardless of what I eat. But it has taken trial with my body to figure out what works.

Someone mentioned Smooth Move tea. This is great, but I wouldn't recommend it all the time. Other things that help me go is peppermint tea, or ginger tea (esp if I'm gassy). Kombucha also usually helps. Maybe you could try a pro-biotic. What do you eat at maintenance that you dont eat on a cut? Dairy?? Greek yogurt? Could be something as simple as that....

Psyllium Husk Capsules

I used to have to run into the woods once a week or so, after I started taking these (1 each night) I only have to meet with the trees once every couple months. Far and away best thing I've done was starting to take these pills.

u/AlfamaN10 · 5 pointsr/Supplements

I recommend taking a soluble fiber, such as Psyllium Husk or Acaica Senegal!

They expand to ~10x their dry-volume in water (e.g. - in your stomach) & they slow digestion.

Effect: More full + full longer (win + win)

Dosage: I take ~5-10g/Fiber with a meal (this depends on the size of the meal and how much water I'm drinking - bigger meal = more fiber), usually 2x daily. Works great for me and my wife.

Tips: Drink extra water when you take soluble fibers; they absorb a lot of water. I'd recommend ~2oz water/1g of fiber.

Fiber can be beneficial for some IBS sufferers - I'm not claiming otherwise.

What I don't like is this company using religion to push it's absurdly overpriced fiber. I don't know exactly what capsule size they're using, so I'll assume size 0 (most common). Size 0 will hold around half a gram, depending.

These thieves sell a 270 capsule bottle for 149$. In other words, approximately 135 grams of fiber at $1.10 per gram.

Now let's compare another brand - 500 capsules at 500 mg each, 250 grams of fiber. Cost is $13.99, or $0.05 per gram.

That's not even the cheapest: if you get plain bulk powder not in capsules, 680 grams for $11.99, or a bit under $0.02 per gram.

Do you know psyllium husk? There are psyllium husk tablets, and I have found that taking 2 in the morning with a BIG glass of water and 2 right before bed with a BIG glass of water can alleviate both constipation and diarrhea.

Here's an example of what I am talking about:

https://www.amazon.com/NOW-Psyllium-Husk-500-Capsules/dp/B0013OW2KS?th=1

Yep, the mud butt and shitting bricks can hit you at any time, but it really does get much better over time. I've done keto for well over a year, and now I could be the poster child for the Bristol Scat Scale.

u/notyet_aTwunk · 3 pointsr/askgaybros

Get a fiber supplement, it keeps you regular and clean. Douching becomes super easy and super fast. I used to take Pure For Men but now I take these Psyllium Husk capsules. I'm currently testing them so I haven't decided wether they're better though.

u/Fitztastical · 3 pointsr/Fitness

These are what I take with my protein shake every morning. Highly recommend for rocket propelled one wipers.

u/chadnik · 2 pointsr/vegan

I can't tell if this is a compliment because of the resourcefulness of making almond milk or an insult because I mentioned the holiest of holies, the ghost wipe

u/ClimbOnGoodBuddy · 2 pointsr/Fitness

I have basically the same exact story as you, also 6ft, 210 lbs, 20ish % bf. I ordered https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013OW2KS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 only to realize that their serving size was way smaller than I thought. They work fine, but it means taking 6 in the morning first thing and 6 at night before I go to bed, with a lot of water with each serving. It comes out to ~4g of fiber a day.

The recommended amount appears to be ~30g a day, so I don't know if this is actually helping or if it's just a placebo. I just realized that I didn't really answer your question, but this is what I've been doing.

u/Natriana · 2 pointsr/fasting

I suffered really horrible diarrhea during my first 3 day fast, to the point that I couldn't trust if it felt like I just needed to pass gas o.O Someone mentioned taking psyllium husk to help regulate your system. I've been using that the last three days and I've had zero diarrhea and two regular bowel movements. Here's what I'm using (I've used it regularly in the past to help lower cholesterol too): https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0013OW2KS

u/MisterAnd0 · 2 pointsr/Fitness

I had the same problem once I increased my protein intake to 1.5g/lbs of BW. I then started to take some psyllium husk capsules before meals and the problem was solved.

u/L4syth · 2 pointsr/jpouch

My first year, I was up 2-3 times a night, and when I mentioned this to my surgeon at the time of my annual check up, he said “take an Imodium before bed.” So I started doing that and got it down to once a night. I’m still up and going once a night, but it’s needing to pee that wakes me up...and it’s just easier to go ahead and evacuate while I’m at it 😉

As for your second question, I soiled myself in the middle of the night 2-3 times in the past 2 1/2 years, but not full on shit myself. When it happened, it was typically the result of being extra reckless with eating/drinking whatever I want, subsequently having a lot of gas churning around while I’m asleep, and my body letting it pass...with me discovering in the morning it wasn’t all gas LOL

Are you taking any fiber supplements like Metamucil? My surgeon recommended I take it with every meal because it slows down the digestive tract, and it really does work. I hate the powder and take the capsules, and because I’m cheap I get a generic from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0013OW2KS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_DSHSDbWE5W5ZT. My surgeon wants me to take it 3x a day (once before every meal) but I’m lazy and typically only do it when eating some I know will mess me up, like salad! It does a good job of firming things up from watery diarrhea to an oatmeal consistency, which means less trips to the bathrooms do leas chance of any gas being accompanied by leakage. Hope that helps!

u/Quadrashocker · 2 pointsr/keto

As others recommended, Psylium Husk pills and a probiotic should help with regularity.

u/tuesdayisfortacos · 2 pointsr/Fitness

Mine is in capsule form, so I just swallow it whole. I use this one.

u/rharmelink · 2 pointsr/keto

I do cheap and lazy meal preps. It's usually the protein that's on sale in a given week with any variety of veggies.

For fiber, I take three capsules, twice daily, of the 500mg NOW Psyllium Husk Capsules. Did wonders for my IBS-D.

u/liveinapineapple · 2 pointsr/bodybuilding

Buy psyllium husk caps. Trust me. I got these ones http://www.amazon.com/Foods-Psyllium-Husk-500mg-Vcaps/dp/B0013OW2KS/ref=sr_1_1_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1458771903&sr=1-1&keywords=psyllium+husk+caps+500+mg a few days ago and they make your shits go smooth as hell, often no wipers. A little fiber (6 caps/day) does a whole lot of good.

u/johnny5ive · 2 pointsr/xxfitness

Psyllium Husk works for me.

u/cal_student37 · 2 pointsr/askgaybros

Note that if you buy the pill form the dossage is really low. Each pill is about 1.5% of your daily fiber need so you'd need to take literally a handful each day to have some noticeable effect. The loose form (that you mix in with water) seems to allow you to easily take a bigger dosage.

u/JDawgSabronas · 1 pointr/Fitness

If fiber isn't included in my total carb intake, I'm going to have a hard time bringing my total carbs down to 25g a day! :-(

Thanks for the husk advice - will something like this do?

u/ayemateys · 1 pointr/migraine

Don’t know if this helps but when I suddenly developed vestibular migraines I had trouble regulating my blood sugar all of a sudden even though all my blood work, hormones and thyroid levels came back fine. I found taking these pills regulated the dizziness I felt if I didn’t eat every few hours, made me feel fuller longer and regulated my digestive system...

Hijacking because this is the top comment. My wife went from grudgingly occasionally allowing anal, to demanding it, begging for it, wanting to be butt fucked nearly ever time we have sex. The biggest change was the lube we used, after years of using cheap grocery store (like KY) and cheap Adam and Eve junk we finally found a great lube that works. Sliquid Sassy this stuff is amazing, water based so it's safe for condoms and toys, glycerine free so it won't get sticky, and it washes away pretty easily.

Other than the HUGE improvement that the lube made, I would suggest good digestive care, use a Fiber supplement Psyllium Husk is easy and cheap if you don't mind fairly big pills.

Finally, butt hygene, we use a bidet in our home, it's weird at first but once you get used to it you will never want to go back to TP again. Wife also uses an enema bag to clean up before a full blown butt fuck session. I can't speak to that except to say that we have never experienced any "accidents" after she's used the enema.

Good luck, the wife is totally into butt stuff all the time and now has literal SCREAMING orgasms from it. Wishing the same to you!

u/solidus-flux · 1 pointr/leangains

I buy the generic stuff too. It's totally fine.

These are the ones I get. 500 caps for the price of 240 caps of metamucil at the drug store. Free shipping if you have prime / live in the US, etc. Hope this helps.

u/badtzmartin · 1 pointr/LifeProTips

Take about a dozen Psyllium fiber pills before you eat. Seriously. Your poop will be much harder and leave (hopefully) zero acidic residue on your posterior. http://www.amazon.com/Foods-Psyllium-Husk-500mg-Capsules/dp/B0013OW2KS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427815071&sr=8-1&keywords=psyllium+pills

u/Lyxh · 1 pointr/askgaybros

Even better than an enema (and safer/healthier) are fiber tablets like these. If you take these things consistently you'll be much cleaner down there. The fiber binds together your poo so you can evacuate it more easily when you go #2 without leaving any residue behind. Trust me, it works.

I am very sorry you have to go through this :( If it makes you feel any better, I feel your embarrassment. I have sweating issues. I sweat more than most people and pretty much no deodorant works for me. I've even tried prescription antiperspirant that burnt my armpits. It embarasses me greatly but isnt enough to be a medical condition.. so. You're not alone. Anyways! Back to you!

Did you know they make fiber pills?

NOW Psyllium Husk 500 mg,500 Capsules https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0013OW2KS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_484OCb6K8BRPB

I bought those a month ago and I've been taking 6 a day. 3 with lunch and 3 with dinner. It helps you poop and when you wipe, your butt is pretty much already clean. You do have to drink a bottle of water with them though or risk constipation. For me, I just take the pills and down the water as fast as I can. I HATE drinking water but these pills make me drink more than ever.

Some tips that have helped me drink more water: invest in a 32oz water bottle. When you wake up, down a standard size (16oz) bottle of water. When you're at work, drink a full 32oz bottle of water. After work, drink another standard size bottle of water. Drink more if you can but if not, this should be plenty to sustain your body. I drink flavored water in my 32oz bottle at work to encourage me even more.

Also, have you heard of PooPourri? I haven't used it, but maybe you should look into it! I've heard nothing but rave reviews. You spray it into the toilet before you go and then after you flush, it makes the room smell amazing.

try Psyllium husk if you haven't already

this stuff on amazon is cheap and just check the reviews, you know it works:

>Recently I embarked on a journey for the holiest of holies. The holy grail of bowel movements.

You can also try the Metamucil Psyllium wich has different stuff but costs a whole lot more.

You can also time your bowel movements, have intercourse in between them.

I also don't do full enemas since they bring the stuff that isn't well formed yet from deep in the intestine, I only use a few ounces of water to dislodge stuff and repeat 3-4 times until its clean.

If you are looking for what I consider no calorie, high fiber yet no gassy side effects, and you are already getting enough nutrients-- I've been taking psyllium powder caplets and they work great as an inert filler. I take three in the morning with my breakfast and three pills in the evening with my dinner.

It keeps me from snacking because I don't feel hungry.

It is a byproduct ground up and shipped here from India. I get my caplets of the stuff from Amazon ( http://www.amazon.com/Foods-Psyllium-Husk-500mg-Vcaps/dp/B0013OW2KS ).

Eating more fiber , and by extension taking a Fiber pill (and drinking lots of water) can help you to "pass more matter" therefore there's less left behind and therefore less mess . A lot of people use "Metamucil " or "Pure For Men" or even switch to a higher fiber diet . Fiber will NOT take place of douching 100% but it can help a lot . You should give it a shot . I use this one it's much cheaper than the other brands . Just make sure you drink a LOT of water often and read the package to see how many to take

Psyllium Husk capsules are great for promoting bowel movements. You can also get psyllium husk in powder form but I think it's way easier to take a couple capsules with a glass of water. Friendly tip - start slow and only take one or two per day, and drink plenty of water.

Hi Julie,

It took me over a year to alleviate most of my constipation but all the above definitely helped.

-Slippery Elm - 1 Capsule 2x a day - taken between meals. Good for calming inflammation in stomach and helps repair and coat the stomach lining. Also helps with constipation and diarrhea. Makes a big difference on settling down stomach and soothing stomach pains. It can lower blood pressure.

Probiotics

-----------------

They've been pivotal in restoring more balance to my stomach, digestion, and overall health.

I've resolved on taking three different probiotic products because variety can help crowd out H Pylori and heal your stomach overall.

-Custom Probiotics - 11 Strain Probiotic Powder - 100 Gram
It seems expensive but it's super cost efficient and lasted me about year which is amazing.
For dosage, I only use the small plastic spoon that it comes with because the standard dosage of "260 billion" per day seems a little too intense to me.
I started with taking 25 billion (one small plastic spoonful) per day mixed in water. Stomach upset and gas is normal at the beginning stages so starting small helps your stomach get acclimated to the new strains.
I'm up to 100 billion per day (4 small plastic spoonful) now, 30 minutes to 1 hour before a meal.
https://www.customprobiotics.com/custom-probiotics-11-strain.htm

-Renew Life Extra Care Probiotic - Ultimate Flora - 150 billion - 30 Capsules
This probiotic is amazing for adding tremendous amount of variety to the strains in your stomach. It also contains "L Reuteri" which is effective in reducing and suppressing H Pylori.
Whenever I start a new bottle, I start with approximately 1/4 capsule (I open up the capsule and pour some it's contents in water) for the first week and move up to 1/2 capsule till the end of the bottle. Makes it last longer and because I'm already supplementing with another probiotic.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IN7867Q/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

-Bronson Saccharomyces Boulardii - 20 Billion - 180 capsules
Good for restoring balance to gut biome. I start out with half a capsule (approx 5 billion) in water at mealtime, once per day.

Timing of Probiotics

-----------------

This was a super tricky thing to figure out. A lot of conflicting reports on what time you should take it, with food, without food, at bedtime, or first thing in the morning.

Here's the best two times that have worked for me. I go back and forth to accommodate schedule changes if need be:

  1. 30 Minutes Before Breakfast - Custom Probiotics and Renew Life mixed in water.
Take S Boulardii with other food enzymes. Make sure to take herbal antibiotics at another meal time.

  2. 30 Minutes Before Dinner - Custom Probiotics and Renew Life mixed in water.
S Boulardii with other food enzymes. Make sure to take herbal antibiotics at another meal time.

My life changed when I started using fiber pills. I personally use these, Psyllium Husk Capsules, to help keep things solid and stay "cleaner." Give it a shot!

Also, don't sweat it too much. A good top shouldn't worry too much about it being squeaky clean up there. All you can do is try your best to prepare and whatever happens, happens.

OP have you tried taking fiber supplements, such as psyllium huskor bentonite clay? These seem to really help push things through while keeping it solid.

It was psyllium husk capsules Now brand. I was thinking of switching from the powder I currently use.

If texture doesnt bother you get the powdered kind from walmart - 100% psyllium husk equate brand. I take 2 tsp at night (directions say more often but...) and I poop nice and clean every morning. Comes out solid, quick, one wipe and done. Very cost effecient but the texture isn't great. Kind of like drinking sand? (See reviews) Took a few days of use to see the full effect but no cramping or any negative side effects. I have had the same tub for 2 years - the capsules wouldn't last nearly as long.

Been taking psyllium husk powder for a year; keto for three days. A bit of keto flu, but no trouble in the brown department.

I take the capsules, easy-peasy and no calories wasted on stuff that tastes bad. The mix with water stuff is truly hateful.

Hello,

I do 20:4 and I notice that my "poops" vary from day to due (like others have said due to the fiber that I'm eating, and also due to how hydrated that I am). Sometimes I don't poop until I'm in my next feeding window the next day. Psylllium husk tabs are great, along with a bunch of water. These Tabs on Amazon aren't that bad of a deal!! https://www.amazon.com/NOW-Psyllium-Husk-500-Capsules/dp/B0013OW2KS?th=1

I use green. It took about a week to for the constipation to start. I take Psyllium Husk Caps , which are basically ground up mushrooms in capsule form. They work really well for me.
