I used this stuff called "Yuk" that made all sorts of horrible stuff come out of our jetted tub when we moved in. I highly recommend it.

We recently moved in to a house that sat empty for 4 years before we bought it. The jetted tub hadn’t been used in that time, so the first time I filled it with water and ran the jets it was absolutely disgusting. I tried a few different online tips (running water through with dishwasher detergent, bleach, vinegar, etc.) but I ran it at least a dozen times and more stuff just kept coming out. I broke down and bought this and it worked so much better! Just start with it and skip the other “homemade” remedies.
