Hey guys! Long time lurker, first time poster here. Joined the club a few months back after purchasing my used (CPO) 2015 GTI Autobahn w/ Lighting Package. Like some other users on here, I was not a "car guy" prior to owning this little beast. I came from a 2001 Toyota Solara, so it's been quite the upgrade. All the modifications I found on here or from the various GTI forums out there, so I thought I would try and "give back" to this awesome community. Questions welcomed!

It did require some minor mods. I drilled the cover so it takes 4 screws instead of 2, used a dremel to make it so that the screws didn't stick out too far in the rear, and applied some JB weld around the nuts so that they wouldn't spin. A bit of work, but well worth it IMO.

I'm headed that way with my Crosstrek next Tuesday! Love the tires. Something I just replaced (after two years of use because the paint faded a bit) that might look sharp with your black highlights are these License Plate Frames. I always notice people's plates when I'm on road trips. Thank you for removing dealership frames if you had them originally, those irrationally infuriate me.

You can do neutral but still have a frame. I think without a frame it looks unfinished and "tacked on" if that makes sense. Just something simple like this.
