There's a book that claims Yao Ming was the result of government program to breed basketball players through eugenics. I'd say Sweden had a similar idea.

Lots of people don't know that the basketball player YaoMing wasn't just some random dude that was good at basketball- he was bred for it! Part of his contract was even to marry a tall woman chosen by the government, to have kids with to create more basketball players!!

Actually, if you watch him play, he isn't even that good honestly.. Just tall...
