First, I'd like to introduce you to 2 different subs that have a lot of information about nail care/knowledgeable nail care gurus.

   Next, I second OPI Nail Envy. At my Ulta, it's $11.50, and it's amazing. My nails are longer and stronger than ever before. I recommend using the one for Sensitive/Peeling Nails, as seen here on Amazon
   
   Another thing that will help is a Biotin supplement. You can get it rather cheaply at Walmart or a local store, and generally only need to take one a day. This will make your nails and hair stronger and grow faster. It has also helped my face, in that I'm not breaking out as much.
   
   Finally, check out a cuticle oil. I love Lush Lemony Flutter, and Burt's Bees Lemon Butter in my opinion they both work about equally, the only reason I differentiate is due to whether I want to drive to Lush or just go to Walmart (basically a 20 minute driving difference).
   
   Mostly, have patience. It took me 6 months to get my nails completely destroyed (like 100x worse than yours) to wear they are now. Just be patient. :)

I'm not sure why Reddit won't let me reply to your comment, but as a nail tech I initially wasn't sure what this could be. Nail Envy is a product that I swear by and would have recommended to you had you not mentioned that you use it.

Upon some research, my conclusion is that you likely have what is called leuconychia.

>Leuconychia is evident as white lines or spots in the nail plate and may be caused by tiny bubbles of air that are trapped in the nail plate layers due to trauma. This condition may be hereditary and no treatment is required as the spots will grow out with the nail plate.

I have seen it countless times, but yours seems to be on the extreme end. As the quote above states, it is harmless and shouldn't concern you (I know it's alarming!). If you are using the Original formula of Nail Envy, I would recommend trying the sensitive & peeling formula or dry & brittle formula.

Amazon has OPI Nail Envy Sensitivity & Peeling nail strengthener. I use the Dry & Brittle kind and it works pretty well! I'm almost through my 2nd bottle and my nails break a lot less often. I also use it as a base coat, and it works great, so I'm sure the Sensitivity & Peeling would work the same.

Formaldehyde-free OPI product, specifically for soft peeling nails.

Recovering nail/cuticle biter, and I work in the kitchen. My nails are in bad shape. This seems to be helping.

Skincare Rave I just started oil cleansing with evening primrose oil, and I really enjoy seeing the makeup just melt off on my cotton ball. Weirdly satisfying. I haven't completely converted over from cleansing with cold cream, but it might be coming. (And no breakouts! No rosacea flair ups!)

Makeup Rave I got Bite Lip Crayons a while back, but recently added the Red Velvet color to my 'daily face'. Love it! It stays so much better than regular lipstick, while also not being as drying as regular matte lippies. The color is BOLD and awesome. :)

Makeup Rant I decided to try out Jane Iredale Liquid Minerals foundation for its 'natural' blah blah. I hate it. The coverage is non-existent in my color (palest). Like I literally feel like it's clear, and I'm just putting moisturizer on my face. Yah for wasting $50!

Nailcare Rant of the friggin year - OPI Nail Envy for Sensitive/Peeling! This little bottle of nail death has KILLED all the progress I've made on my nails over the last few months. I've been taking Biotin and adding collagen to my coffee, and my nails have flourished! Then I use this Nail Envy crap on my fingernails just for the heck of it (cause I got it for my toes), and I have had broken nail after broken nail after friggin broken nail!

Also, that collagen I linked above - I'm in love! I got it because my mom read that it's good for thyroid/autoimmune issues, and I've noticed a significant increase in my energy level on top of the nice hair and nail growth...minus the sad effect of body hair ALSO growing in faster, haha.

First world problem here but I need this because my nails started peeling from wearing nail polish and I had to stop. I miss pretty nails :(
