My organic chemistry professor wrote the book. He is King Among All Sadists.
OChem is basically like math, there's a bunch of rules to memorize (along with a shit ton of exceptions) and then you just apply the rules to the chemical equations. So the trick is to memorize all the rules and then PRACTICE!
Of course there are lots of concepts, just like in math, that u need to understand, but in the end it all comes down to rules and practice.

I found it super helpful (way more than the prof) but others hated it. Btw, an example of a rule is: a haloalkane + H2O = alcohol
