It depends which syllabus you are doing. There is a lot of choice in History as to which areas you study. My son is studying the following options in his EDEXCEL syllabus:

Unit 2:
Option C: Conflict and Change in 19th and 20th Century Britain
Option D: The British Empire Challenged
Depth Study:
D1 Britain and Ireland, 1867-1922
E1 British Political History, 1945-90: Consensus and Conflict

All of the above look at the "Troubles" in detail.

In the AQA syllabus there is The Making of Modern Britain 1951-2007 which also covers the "Troubles".

We use this one. It's very decent but be aware that some sub-topics (particularly in the social/cultural change chapters) are a little brief. Feminism was the example given by my history teacher which I think tripped a few people up in an AS paper a while back.
