Not OP but yeah, I have a handheld vac (this one. I love the motorized brush tool). I tend to vacuum about 10x a day but it takes me less than 5 minutes each time due to it being such a small space, so it’s really no big deal. Also have this tiny sweeper that’s great for sand and gravel. What does help overall is having a durable, heavy duty doormat and making sure that everyone is religious about either taking their shoes off before entering or giving the shoes a good wipe on the mat!
