It's weird, I know, but I also have POTS/EDS, and I've found a full body pillow REALLY helps keep me from waking up with a "laid down too long" migraine. I tend to oversleep thanks to my EDS, and this keeps me aligned so there's no awkward blood pooling. It also keeps my joints- especially my shoulders and hips- stable so there's less tension contributing to a tension migraine.

This is timely for me. I've been thinking of getting one of those C-shaped or U-shaped pregnancy body pillows -- as I've heard they really help people with AS (and I have a lot of shoulder pain and neck at night). As a side sleeper, I'm still confused as to how ... or what benefits it offers.
Does a body pillow provide you with any extra support? A standard body pillow doesn't look it would provide much at all. How is it better than a memory foam pillow for just your head?

Yes! I twist it up with a hole in the middle...make sure it’s high enough so I can put my belly in the hole and it not be against the mattress. Then I prop my head up with a few pillows and enjoy :) I’ll link the one I have it’s perfect!

I bought this one on Amazon. I haven't loved it, but it does its job. Now that it's been used a bit, the head-area is sagged a little which helps my neck.

I don't know the brand for sure, but it looked a lot like this bestseller.
It was a gift, I think my mom bought me the pillow and my husband bought a washable cover for it. For me, the C shape was really nice because it supported my back, came up between my knees and gave me something to curl up against - but that little gap was just the right width for my belly.
I'm a fan of the C shape, because it's easier to get out of to pee and I can turn over a bit easier in it. I also like that it's good to place between the knees, below the bump and against the back to keep me in place during the night.
In addition, it's helpful for sex (if and when she is ready for it) for the spooning position and it can easily be positioned to put the bump in for doggy. Which is actually pretty good for sleeping on the tummy more comfortably as well.
