I've found these nose trimmers do the trick for overall facial hair. I use it about once every couple weeks.

I've seen beauty gurus online use these, but never tried them out myself.

I prefer threading for my brows and waxing for my lip.

Nothing wrong with being hairy. We all deal with it to a point. Hair removal is gigantic industry and there are thousands of estheticians who just remove hair from people for 40 hours a week. At any given time there are 2-3 infomercials on tv showing some new amazing way to deal with unwanted hair. So no, you are most definitely not alone.

Do you have one of these things? If not, I would suggest getting one and immediately stop tweezing/plucking anything below your eyebrows. Pluck your brows minimally and use the trimmer for the rest. Save your waxing/threading money and get laser treatments.

I got one after I read this the study was done in mice but we now know that [in mice] hairs can communicate in mice and retaliate/grow back with a vengeance when over plucked.

Have you looked into laser at all? It's wonderful and absolutely worth the money. Depending on your needs, it could be $100 to $200 per session. You're likely already spending around that much for waxing and threading. The appts are every six weeks and make a huge difference. And compared to waxing, laser is nothing. You will laugh. Go once and you'll be hooked. The consultations cost nothing and just getting one or two of your most troublesome areas will give you so much relief. I wish I'd done it years ago.

Go find a reputable place. Maybe call a dermatologist for recommendations. Talk to a few places until you find one that you trust. They can do a little patch on your arm to give you an idea of what to expect.

For upper lip I use one of those battery operated trimmers Such as this.
For chin, tweezers. I started doing Electrolysis on my chin and was told by my electrologist that I should shave since tweezing over time can change the shape of the hair follicle and might make it more curved due to the direction you are pulling the hair out, I still tweeze since it lasts longer.

Ahhh no that hurts! This is what I use, and I buy it at Target. It's pretty cheap so when the blade goes dull I just buy another one.

I use this electric face hair trimmer. Don't have to worry about cutting yourself with a razor or using any creams or anything of the sort. I have a spare in my makeup bag in case I'm in a rush and didn't have time to shave and need to do a quick trim before applying makeup so I don't really have any problems with irritation, though others might so idk! :)

I agree this is a situation where you're going to have to defy your parents for your own happiness. They don't always know what's best and you're 17 ffs.

If you can't get a razor, negotiate an eyebrow trimmer from Target/Amazon. It will take care of the mustache and will come with an attachment you can use to thin out your arm/leg hair (if you can't want to remove it entirely).

I've been using the Philips Precision Perfect Trimmer. I think it's pretty gentle and the razor isn't sharp, so I haven't had any issues yet. I used to thread my face, but needing to thread every week got really old really fast!
