Okay, I'm gonna try to make this as fact heavy and gender neutral as I can, if I fuck up, that's my bad. I'm just somewhat passionate about cups. Usually I'm passionate towards users who have irritation or allergies to disposable products, but honestly as a cis woman pads and tampons ARE way too girly. I can't imagine being a man and dealing with that BS. Sorry you have to.

Black and Red. You get two for under $10 (plus shipping if you don't have Prime) and while the packaging is purple and kinda feminine (and the bag inside is purple satin) you can toss all of that and use any breathable bag you wish. I had a knitted camo one for awhile.

Basics: If the stem bugs you, trim it. Just be careful not to poke a hole in your cup, but all of mine are trimmed completely off and work fine.

If its still too long for you even without the stem, or iff the textured sides bug you, turn it inside out. It works exactly the same except is slightly more slippery. Regardless, its easy to use once you have the hang of it.

If you don't have enough fluid flow when you put it of, put it under a faucet for a second. Its enough lubrication for silicone and doesn't have the weird feel of lube.

When wearing, if should be almost unnoticeable. If you have pain or discomfort, adjust it because it should NOT hurt. I frequently forget I'm wearing it, silicone warms to body temperature and so if your cup fits, you won't feel much until its time to empty, at which point it kinda drops down a bit.

You can wear it when not on your period if your natural discharge bugs you. I have no idea if that is an issue for you, but sometimes it is for me and my doctor was clear that as long as I'm using a clean cup (having two makes that easier) I could wear it every single day without issue.

After dumping it, wash with non-antibacterial soap or just wipe with TP or water/TP. At the end of using it, wash it well with soap and water, then soak in Peroxide or boil for 10 minutes. Another option is this thing:

Its legit awesome. Steam cleans your cup so you could sterilize it while you shower. And not particularly feminine looking, it kinda looks like an electric tooth brush charger to me.

Good luck, man. Hope some of this is useful info.

Amazon sells these awesome cup sanitizers that would be perfect for your situation. I can’t imagine it’d be easily to boil your cup in a dorm unless you have a hot plate. I have the one I linked and my co-worker uses this one as well, I love it. Super simple to use and so far it’s worked as well if not better than boiling it on the stove. I always felt like there was a small chance that it wasn’t getting as clean as it could by boiling in a pot but that could just be me. I also recommend a cleanser made specifically for menstrual cups, like the saalt cup wash, I use it maybe once a day during my cycle in lieu of disinfecting. Regardless, I hope this helps!
