Well if you talking about the Destiny: The Taken King Bundle according to http://wololo.net/2017/10/23/ps4-get-hands-ps4-4-05-firmware-lower/ then yes! maybe buy two & sell it when the price goes up.
So you have to apply the jailbreak every single time you boot your PS4 so you can't find one that is fully "pre-jailbroken" You can buy them with PKGs installed and ready to go but in order to play them you will still need to run the exploit and apply the jailbreak. That being said it is really easy to do. The hardest thing is to find a PS4 on a low firmware (this is the one I went with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012UGC9F0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Though now you can get PS4s up to 5.05 and still crack them so you should be able to find better or cheaper units. Check Wololo for guides on how to find a hackable unit. It is fairly easy to find and install games up to 5.05 firmware and play them on the PS4 yourself. You also can still upgrade the hard drive yourself which I suggest you do. I went with a 2 TB internal drive upgrade which is enough for a lot of games. As of now I'm not sure about online play as I always use my PS4 for single player games (of which there are MANY). Yes you also can install pkg files instead of isos as most of the library is availble on the PSN store at this time. Additionally you can play PS2 games that have been ripped and converted to PKG files on the PS4 if that is something that interests you. If you like playing great single player games (ahem backups) then yeah it is worth it to hack it.

Witcher 3 I do own, but I have not played it I bought it for the for X-mas, but she has been wrapped up in some other games so we haven't gotten a chance to actually play it yet. I don't want to play her game before she gets to play it even if that does sound dumb to most people. It would make me feel like I bought it for me, even if I wasn't all that excited about it until I actually had it sitting around.
Now then Rocket league. My wife, a friend and myself are actually thinking of entering the RLCS as a team. I will admit we aren't the best players, but I also don't think we are the worst. It is an amazing game. I have thrown plenty of hours into this game. Just as you said "Easy to learn, hard to master"
Yeah, there was 2. The initial release had the pure white console, then The Taken King had the "limited edition" white console which is the one I own. Would not surprise me in the least if they release yet another white one for Destiny 2.

Really.. I just want a PS4 for Kingdom Hearts 2.8 in January, but I am also a Destiny fanatic, and the PS4 looks pretty dang dope!
