No, you don't, you nonintellectual homo sapien. 50 bucks is for the entire year. If you stretch that, it's basically 10 bucks a month. Are you really gonna complain about spending $10 a month?

In fact you can just use Amazon to buy the 1 month membership code outright instead of buying a PSN card and then purchasing the 1 month on the PSN store. Here is the link for the 1 month card.

I would caution against getting 1 month though, as it’s kinda a ripoff. If you can afford to get a 1 year subscription then go for that, as it’s only $60 while if you bought it 1 month at a time it would be over $100
