Pokémon Sun and Moon also available on Amazon for $30, no coupon needed, with Prime shipping (if you have that)

Still not as bad as needing to buy entire systems like you previously implied. I can find copies of Sun for $20.

Or you know, ask for it in GTS, as was my first comment at the start of all of this. Which defeats your whole premise that it costs a huge amount of money to complete the Pokedex.

My Nintendo Tag is Cheddar. If I could receive any game right now it would be Pokemon Sun. My favorite game series as a kid was Pokemon. I grew up watching the show with my older brother, and I saved my money to get a Gameboy and Pokemon Ruby. I took that Gameboy everywhere and eventually started getting some of the older Pokemon games. I sold my Gameboy for some stupid reason and just recently picked up a 3DS and Omega Ruby. It has been great replaying my first Pokemon game and would love to have Pokemon Sun so I can experience some of the changes they have made to the series over the years that I didn't have a DS to play Pokemon games on.

The 20% off newly released Games also works up to 2 weeks after the game's launch, you'll get the 20% discount whether you pre-order or buy within the first 14 days of it's release if you are an Amazon Prime member.

This promotion was added to compete with Best Buy Gamer's Club Unlocked which is the same exact discount (20%). If you can't afford or don't want Amazon Prime for a $99 a year, you can go to Best Buy. GCU is only $30 for two years.

Both BB and AZ also apply their discount to amiibo as well.

Why does Amazon say that it will release on Dec. 30 though ? Is that just them not having updated yet ?

There's only a couple brick and mortar stores still selling Western import games in Tokyo and you can usually expect to pay around a 20% premium (at least) on the US sticker price, never mind the exchange rate.

Hell, you can even find stores selling North American Sun & Moon on Amazon Japan at retail price.

Hello shrimp of tiny proportion, I, as you can read, am Tbshirk. I'm a frequenter on this subreddit and have entered giveaways, and hosted some myself. Firstly, I would like to thank you for this giveaway. Even if I don't win, you're going to make somebody very happy. You're doing a great thing. Oh, and I'm entering for Pokemon Sun. Amazon Link

I want it for a pretty simple reason. Pokemon fucking rocks, and it's fun as hell! To go into a little more depth, I played Pokemon a TON as a kid. Pretty much non-stop. Anyway, now that Sun and Moon are out, I feel the need to get back into it. Not only that, but I'm going to try to complete a Living Shinydex, which will very well take me years upon years to complete, but I am extremely determined.

Thank you so much for this giveaway and I hope you, and the readers have a fantastic Thanksgiving and holiday season in general.

Dang, That's how much Amazon has it for sale and it's brand new. If you have Amazon Prime like I do it's free shipping too. It's actually costs $39.82.

Well, almost all Pokemon games have been on some kind of sale recently.

You can try buying codes from PCGameSupply. I live in Jordan with no access to NA eshsop codes, bought from them to buy Ace Attorney and they deliver by email in matters of minutes after the payment goes through.

Alternatively you can buy the Pokémon Sun NA code from Amazon

I would suggest getting things they could share! Since DS's are kind of pricey, you could get one for them to share, like the 2DS then get them each their own game(s). You could get Pokemon Sun/Moon for Rylee, and Brain Quest or Big Brain Academy for Trinity

Good question. If you look at a page that has the promotion (under Special Offers and Product Promotions at the bottom) and click on "You will receive your code by email within 2 business days. Here's how (restrictions apply)", the last line says Offer only applies when shipped and sold by Amazon.com.

Also, if you scroll to the bottom of that page, you will see that the promotion is not listed under special offers and promotions.

No, it wasn't. I pulled it up to show my brother-in-law at thanksgiving and it was like $39.82. Hell, that's the current price. https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dvideogames&field-keywords=pokemon+sun
