SQUATS!!!!! Do lots of squats. Your body will thank you. Especially during labor.

YOGA - pre-natal yoga is awesome. This will help you work on your back and core muscles and your flexibility. I also found it really nice to open up my midsection and make more room for baby. I stress doing pre-natal yoga mostly because your baby is going to feel "in the way" sooner than you think and the pre-natal modifications help keep your baby out of your way. I freaking loved this DVD during both my pregnancies. It has options for 15, 30, 45 and 75 minute yoga sessions. Just great.

WALK - Maybe you're already getting enough walking in from your job, but I found it to be a really relaxing way to get my heart pumping but not have the baby bouncing all over (especially as I got further along). I think it just helped with my overall mobility.

Overall - range of motion, mobility, strength, flexibility - these are the important things to think about during pregnancy (IMO) to keep yourself not feeling like an 80-year-old whale. The three things above were my best bets for that.

I've got at home:

  • Fit & Sleek Prenatal Physique - kicks my ass BUT each segment is only 15 minutes (with one 5 minute warm up). I like that it's short! Each section is different enough and there isn't much repetition between segments. There is also a workout plan with it which is kind of nice.
  • Prenatal Vinyasa Yoga & Short Forms - i've only done the longer workout on this, but it does have a 15 and 30 minute option. The relaxation is also pretty nice.
  • Goddess Dance: Prenatal, with Sera Solstice - don't love it, but it's kind of fun. It's too long for your 30 minute rule, but it makes me feel good and it's supposed to be great to do the hip circles and such.

I'm not sure what type of yoga you were doing before, but I love this Vinyasa DVD. It has 15, 30, 45 and 75 minute sessions, along with a suggested partner yoga positions. I do whatever length of time I'm in the mood for or can fit in, but I always feel good afterwards. I borrowed mine from the library, and have been renewing it for the past month and a half. :)
