i have the E4.5's and they are fantastic.

no sub out. XLR and 1/4" TRS input only.

but if you're listening at a desk, you have a computer as the source?

i have fluance floor speakers that are fantastic, i imagine their bookshelf options are also very good

probably won't need a sub with these, they push down to 35Hz.

RCA, optical, and blue tooth connections.

A pair of studio monitors are what you probably want, they are bookshelf speakers so they're quite small, and they have a fairly flat output which is good for sound work and music.

Here's a good option, they are sold individually.

Cheaper option, these are a pair.

Bose are anything but flat, they modify the sound quite heavily so they're not that good for any kind of sound work or music.

Try out the Presonus Eris E5. They sound great and work really well!

A pair of 1/4 inch TS-to-RCA cables would solve that connection problem, and it would be far cheaper than buying new monitors.

But if you really want to get new monitors, and for only ~$300, then look at the Presonus Eris E5 ($125US each) or E8 ($130US each). If you get those, then you should also get a pair of 1/4 inch TRS-to-TRS or TRS-to-XLR cables (the XLR will connect to the monitor).

Does anyone know what Presonus Eris E5 monitors are like? http://www.amazon.com/Presonus-Eris-E5-80-Watt-Channel/dp/B00CP4IJH0 I've never heard of this brand before but a friend is offering to sell a pair. They're a little cheap (MSRP $199) so I'm naturally a little apprehensive.

I have a pair of powered studio monitors hooked up to an audio interface via (balanced) TRS cables. I'm trying to add a subwoofer into the equation which only has RCA inputs, and can't figure out for the life of me how to reconfigure the wiring. Thoughts?

Hey everyone.

I have an amateur question I’m hoping you guys can help me with. I’ve been getting into vinyl recently and I currently have an Audio Technica At LP60 and two Presonus Erin E5 powered monitors. So far I’m only able to connect the turntable to one of the monitors. My question is: is it possible to connect the LP60 to both monitors at the same time?

Here’s a link to the monitors I’m talking about
