From my experience with people that I know who have taken either LSD or mushrooms that take SSRIs or SNRIs, either have an extremely reduced trip or don't trip at all.
Also, I highly recommend this book. SSRIs and SNRIs have an immense amount of long term side effects, and having done a moderately large amount of research on them when I was in college, I think that anyone taking them should know the full scope of them.

Read the book Prozac Backlash
It is written by a psychiatrist and is a must read for anybody who chooses to use antidepressants or is thinking about it and no it is not only about prozac.
I suggest you either buy or rent it (only 1 cent on amazon used). I won't tell you what to do or my opinions, you need to look at the medical facts and decide for yourself. Let me tell you that taking your doctors word for it is not a good answer. Research, evaluate facts and move from there.
Here is a book you should get written by a Harvard psycho-pharmacologist:

I blame the over-prescription of antidepressants and possibly traces of Prozac in drinking water (can't really know for sure). SSRI's are known to have adverse side effects (according to Joseph Glenmullen, MD)
