The official PS3 wireless headset is far and away one of the best values for the money out there at around $100. Great sound, extremely comfortable, 7 hour battery life. If you don't want to spend that much I'd go with the either the Turtle Beach P11 or the PX21. Both are in the $50-$60 range but are also wired. But in all honesty I can't recommend SONY's wireless 7.1 headset highly enough.

I just recently purchased the Turtle Beach px21 and they are great! I got them cheaper then what it is showing now however. But they are still worth it.

Headphones for music or a headset for gaming? This has been discussed various times (just search headset). There are a few options, but for the price Turtle Beach px21 should do the trick.

i hear people complain about turtle beach's build quality, and static noise.....ehhhh, mine have withstood moving around between TV locations in my house and between friends, and i don't see how a responsible adult could let them break. and for the static, it's only on the enhanced stereo selection and none in the surround set in my experience YMMV though.

if you're NOT on a budget go for the astro A40's, or some other model by them. a friend has these....i almost wish i could play there all the time. they're like $250-300 new though.

I also have a set of Tritton AX720's and they are the nicest headset I have ever owned. I previously had the Turtle Beach P21's and they were not nearly as comfortable as the Tritton set, even though the Tritton one is heavier. The P21s also had a super annoying hissing sound when the volume wasn't even turned up that high.

Yeah, the Trittons are $50 more, but it's money well-spent IMHO.

Hmm, if budget is a problem I would say either a gaming headsett which can come from anything from 70 to 100$ like the Logitech G35 or Turtle beach Earforce PX21 for 50-95$. If you're just looking for a good microphone I would say look at a microphone like SINN 7 Podcast microphone, which you can get for about 70-80$. These are just amazon prises, so i believe that you can get it cheaper somewhere from a local store, if not a online store in you're region. Getting the high quality sound would require a 60$+ Headset or microphone.

The SINN 7 Podcast microphone Is a really good microphone which I recommend you get if you plan on doing allot of these lore videos or something similar in the long run. As it is a cardioid microphone which is excellent for recording speeches/vocal, if you do get one of these I would also recommend you buy pop filter too, or just make one yourself, not that hard.

You have a really soothing voice, which is relaxing to listen to. So I recommend the SINN 7 or a microphone similar following the cardioid for recording vocals, as it can filter out allot of background noises.

Your channel does need improving, as you say the microphone quality needs improving, as well as the banner. I could highly recommend the Blue Snowball Ice, or the Turtlebeach PX21 headset for microphone quality (I use both)

The actual video quality is great, very clear to see, and the added bonus of 60fps. The only issue I have is the length of the videos. I know that a lot of people prefer watching a video that is less than 10 minutes long, sometimes up to 15 minutes. 45 minutes for a single video, personally, is way too long for a small channel. You could combat this by including key parts of the games only, and cutting any slow, or unentertaining sections out. This will also help create a more interesting video, and should help you get some more subscribers.

I would also recommend having an intro, around 5-10 seconds long at max, as this will show viewers that you are putting effort and time into your video, and show a little more professionalism in the beginning of your videos.

When speaking, make sure you are not saying "ur, erm" so on. This will show that you haven't really thought through what you want to say in the video. I personally have some notes on paper next to myself when recording a video which is not live, as this allows you to keep to the point, while also not forgetting what you are wanting to say. If you do this once in a while, you could look at cutting the section out. Also, try to edit the audio so that there is not a lot of silent parts. I usually record a point at a time, then edit the audio to allow it all to feed together, allowing it to sound like a single sentence. If you know what I mean.

You do have some work to do on the channel, but the majority of this will be easier over time to do as habit, and will improve the quality greatly. You have a good clear voice, you just need a good microphone to be able to show this fully.

I started out with a cheap ($17) Bluetooth headset from meritline.com. That worked fine for me for a while -- very lightweight. I could talk to people, and hear them talking which was the goal. Games sounds from the TV speakers.

Then for my birthday, the wife and kids got me a nice headset -- this one I think. I was amazed at how much better the game sounded. Wired, but the cord is nice and long, so that's not an issue. Over all, very happy with it.

I use the Turtle Beach PX21s for PS3. I wanted a good headset but I didn't want to have to refinance my house to afford it. So $65 was definitely a good investment. I love them. The mic can pick up a cat fart in the other room so you don't really need it a millimeter from your mouth which is nice. The cord it comes with is incredibly long which is also a plus. Sometimes I do wish I had a wireless set but when I bought these last year it just didn't seem worth the money. These are worth every penny I spent.

EDIT: Another thing I love about them is it has a chat volume button on the control box attached to the wire. So when I enter a Ground War lobby I turn it all the way down until I can mute everyone. My ears thank me for it.

these are pretty good, never had any major problems with them, work on PC too.

If you're willing to splash another tenner, you could get the upgraded versions

Sorry about that, but those headsets are from a decent brand, and are fairly good.

I use the PX21, little out of date but Amazon has it for $30, just about your price range and not a bad headset at all.

Have you still got the little fluffy thing on the microphone, if it has one, because that can be a huge factor. Also try moving the mic further away from your mouth or closer, like I said; just run a lot of tests and try recording by yourself to see what works best.

I use this Turtle Beach, it's a universal headset so if you want to use it for 360/ps3 then you can.

I used PX21's for years until they broke down. 80$ on the site I think, and 52$ on amazon.

They are turtle beaches. If you take care of them, they will last a life time. You really don't need to spend too much.

The Z11's are also even cheaper, but offer no directional sound. Extremely comfy.
