Now known for her assassination, this book is a sobering look at a country where corruption is rampant in the army, the judiciary, and business, and places the blame mostly on Putin himself. It's certainly advocating a 'side,' but you see problems inside the Russian state ten years before we all started discussing them often on this sub.
