You're not the only one. I am too, and scheduled to take it this Saturday.

I've been studying for it for the past year while working full time, so there's a lot of "wait, did I ever actually learn this or has it been that long?" So 100% yeah. I've wanted to quit like 50 times, probably 4 of which were in the past month, but I had the luxury of a wife who wouldn't let me.

That being said I've tried to focus a lot of my energy into studying whenever I can. It's helped build up my confidence in taking it, so if you're planning on taking it October try to focus on the things that you feel not very confident about - that helped me a lot. (and the quantum mechanics for dummies book helped me tremendously - it's easy to read and gives a fast overview of QM, which is pretty much what you'll find on the exam).

Now if you're taking it with me Saturday: remember all the work you've put into it to this point. Retake the practice exams, re read what you can, and try to maximize the time coming up. You can still learn a lot in a few days, and that fear and anxiety is trying to tell you that. Now, it can be defeating so don't let it consume you.

>Put your stress and anxious energy towards practice tests. Focus in. Remind yourself why you are doing this. And enjoy the company of your friends as you take a rest

This is actually really solid advice from u/awkwardballs. It's OK to take a break, and that fear you have can be channeled.
