I got the powder as something to put in my drink while I cycle for some energy, it was almost triple the price of the liquid I use so it took a bit to try. In 3 months I have had about 4 servings. Now it says it can be used for cooking, baking etc and I may use it for that but I had zero luck with mixing it in a drink. It is like old protein powder, shake the shit out of it and there are still clumps, I even shook once for like 5 minutes, left it in the fridge overnight to dissolve, then shook some more for good measure and nope, still clumpy. It also foamed up, a lot. It was really chalky tasting to me and pretty hard to get down. I had to really scrub the hell out of it because that thick foam left residue everywhere.

Sorry for the rant, but you did ask for strong arguments!

None that I know of.

However, you could mix in either Powdered MCT Oil, Powdered Coconut Oil or both into you powder to meat you macros and then just mix on site with no liquid transport required.

That's my plan anyway, I have an emergency stash of Keto Chow + MCT powder at work in case I forget to make soylent that morning. (So far hasn't happened.)

No, but I have the MCT powder. https://www.amazon.com/Quest-Nutrition-MCT-Powder-Ounce/dp/B016APVE5S it's pricey but I've been adding it to my mushroom coffee most mornings, blends well and adds no noticeable taste. No 'pissing out my ass' like oil would either.

I really like this brand of powdered MCT oil. I find that it tastes great (kind of creamy) and mixes in to liquids better than regular MCT oil. I usually add it into protein shakes as well. Besides that it's not really that much of a difference. It's a little more expensive than regular MCT oil, but still not as much as Bulletproof's version of mct oil.

Try Quest Nutrition MCT Powder https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016APVE5S/
MiCkey T Eight Pure C-8 Caprylic Acid MCT
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RUCHISS/

Both are good and won't give you disaster pants.

If you want to hit the sweet spot in a ketogenic diet, you should be getting about 70% of your calories from fat and 20+% from protein. That is a TON of fat... between keto-induced appetite suppression and the realities of Western food culture, I have to get super creative to keep my calorie intake high enough to support my workout regimen and my fat calories at around 70%. Products like this coffee are major tools. Another one I really like is the Quest Powdered MCT Oil product. Between that and the coffee I probably mark up about 1,000 fat calories a day.

That reminds me, I should do a post on BCAAs and exogenous ketones! :)

A couple of questions:

Has anyone flown with KetoChow? Even assuming that it's in the checked luggage, I'm not sure what TSA would think of traveling with powders.

Has anyone tried powdered oils? I ran across Quest's powdered MCT and Coconut oils, and the idea of not needing refrigerated cream would make making ketochow easier in the office.

I would suggest buying this for your pre-workout. I can tolerate 2x as much when it's powdered mct vs liquid...
