Hi! I've had a pretty bad infestation, and was using local stuff (Sevin Dust) to no avail. Finally, I just had my parents send me some roach bombs, two packages for backup. https://www.amazon.com/Raid-81590-Concentrated-Reach-Fogger/dp/B0002ZWE5C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1487397472&sr=8-1&keywords=roach+bombs

It's only been a few days, but no roaches in sight. So far, it's been the only thing that seems to work.

I've had fleas and they're a pain in the ass to get rid of while you have the animal. OTC flea medication doesn't work that well. The reason you want to vacuum (hardwood included) is so that you wake up the flea eggs before setting off the flea bomb: http://www.amazon.com/Raid-81590-3-Count-Concentrated-Fogger/dp/B0002ZWE5C/

I've used borax and it can supposedly work but it's also a pain in the ass to clean up. If your cat is an indoor only cat, you might not need to reapply the flea meds, but honestly I would use the stuff up. What specific medication do you have? Frontline?

less than 20$, but we owned a single floor, 2 bedroom cabin. Bigger houses of course are going to cost more.

I BELIEVE we bought Raid. We put one in the living room and one in the basement, left for the weekend. We came back opened all windows and doors and spent the day outside, 2 days consecutively. Cats had to be removed before doing it. After it was safe to come back to the house, we vacuumed and even under all furniture. Took care of our problem. (did this in September in midwest, cooler temps could have helped as well)
