Redcoat: The British Soldier in the Age of Horse and Musket - one of many recommendations from /r/AskHistorians :) I'd prefer the Kindle version but I'm not sure how gifting works for Kindles (googling seems to bring in half results saying you can, half saying you can't). There is a paperback version but it's $14.56 while the Kindle version is $11.99.
