Remington HKVAC-2000 is a great clipper if you can find it. It has self sharpening blades and the vacuum feature sucking up all the cut hair works pretty awesome.
I've been using one of these for the past 5 years. For short hair, it's awesome. Makes it casual, only about as much mess as shaving. For a year or so, I'd trim up once a week. Now I trim about once a month or before any social gathering.
I've done this for the past 2 years or so. Saved me tons of money.
This is the one I use Remington.
Doesn't leave as much mess as traditional clippers.
